I miss Long Beach and I miss you, babe
I miss dancing with you the most of all
I miss the bar where the Beach Boys would go
Dennis's last stop before Kokomo

Those nights were on fire
We couldn't get higher
We didn't know that we had it all
But nobody warns you before the fall

And I pray that you stay
Don't leave, I just need a wake-up call
Couldn't face my greatest
The greatest loss of them all
The culture is lit and I've had a ball
I guess I'm signing off after all

I miss New York and I miss the music
Me and my friends, we miss rock 'n' roll
I want shit to feel just like it used to
And, baby, I was doing nothing the most of all

The culture is lit
And if this is it
I had a ball
I guess that I'm burned out after all

Oh I pray that you stay
Don't leave, I just need a wake-up call
Confess my greatest
The greatest loss of them all
The culture is lit and I've had a ball
But I guess that I'm burned out after all

If this is it, I'm signing off
Miss doing nothing the most of all
Oh, I just missed a fireball
LA's in flames, it's getting hot
Kanye West is blond and gone
Life on Mars ain't just a song
Oh, the lifestream's almost on

"LA's in flames,it's getting hot"  9/10/20  more songs for our Cali firestorms. It ain't over yet Bill!
Every time I hear the opening - the very opening - I come to the speakers to turn this up. Awesome.
Secret Service's Cry Softly in the chorus, anyone???
Springsteen is a big fan. He said so on his Sirius program.
I had to up my score to 10.

To each their own ...

Myself - not offended.

Who they hell thumbs down BillG?
Not me...esp. as I +1 to 9 on this track...LLRP!!
Relly love this. Lana is an incredible, unique artist. The music she makes creates a vibe that is unlike any other I've heard.

Always On My Mind?
Ugh, the worst.
Just changed from a 9 to a 10.  Made my list of greatest songs ever.  Soulful and sad, happy and longing...  Wow.
She looks pretty good for 112 years old
Sentimental breakdown. Lana you slay me.

Maybe you need a new sound system - her voice comes across clearly and beautifully on mine.
I wish this was theLana Del's Mariners Village song, that is where I live
Stick a banana in it & stop mumbling.

In other words, Twice was  too much Bill.

Funny coming from someone called 'master_betty' - Though I'm digging all the ways BillG is combining this one with other tracks.  Still calling it an 8...LLRP!!
*like today, 12/3/19, after the 7th play in the last 30 days, BillG paired this with "I Shall Be Released" by Chrissie Hynde, and it's a great pairing...so again...Long Live RP!!

Not sure if you're aware of it, but "Master Betty" basically refers to a character in the delightfully-stupid/silly movie Kung Pow: Enter The Fist. It is one of my all-time guilty pleasure flicks, adding over-dubbing & additional shots to a crappy, little martial arts film to turn it into a screwball comedy.
simple but nice.. I like this woman.. 8/10
Simply amazing. She has created a niche that is occupied by no one else but her.

Seven in the last 30.  Might be something to it now.  That said, I enjoyed this tune and her style.

7 plays in the last 30 days. I feel like you’re trolling us with the mix...

She’s got a great Wikipedia photo. New RP site is great.

Oh, somehow I’m seeing a different one now via the RP pane… weird.

This is the one that was there.
This tune evokes a melancholy atmosphere...and because of this...I really like it. Been liking quite a bit of LDR lately.
Love the whole album!   Thanks for playing Lana.
There's just something about this song that draws me to it. Especially that last verse. Great voice, cool tune.
She's way ahead of her time and super retro at the same time. Love it!

I get that this a new track and it's not bad at all, but 7 plays in last 30 days is a bit too much.

Talk about a 3 second attention span, and I'm going +1 to 8 and looking forward to when 'overplayed' is almost appropriate....LLRP!!
I can dig it.
Nice of RP to play her new album.
She’s got a great Wikipedia photo. New RP site is great.
