Melodically, it's not that bad of a song, but it certainly qualifies in the
cheese category.
...of course, the following year he released the thoroughly cheese-tastic "Thank You For Being A Friend".

sirdroseph wrote: A few years ago I worked for a company doing building renovations, and one co-worker would sometimes bring a radio and switch it between two stations during the day. One was an "oldies" station and the other was more of a "light rock" format. It wasn't bad, really, especially since there was often so much work noise that would drown out the radio, but we would generally hear most of the songs mentioned in this thread at some point. There were certain tunes we heard every day. "Brandy" by Looking Glass was one, and we would get to hear "Crocodile Rock" at least twice a day.

They used to like to brag that when they performed for the president (Clinton?) they snorted cocaine off the dresser in the Lincoln bedroom

I don't like this thread. it should be Celebrate the Cheese! Songs you would turn up and sing out loud!

he released an album in 2003. covering some standard and his old songs. it's kind of charming and sweet.
you can sample it here
