I haven't seen any sign of that...yet  My XP machine has the Security Tools on it - I'll check it out.  My newer machine is running Windows 7, and does not have the MS Security Tools - I pretty much only use Chrome on that machine.

I used Google Chrome regularly for a while, then went back to Firefox for everyday use.

What I STILL use Chrome for: printing blog pages - sometimes, FF makes a mess on print, and I don't like the bare "printer friendly" format that is offered, but, quite often, Chrome will print just what I see on the screen! Lots of times, that is just what I want.

(case in point: <http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn18427-space-diver-to-attempt-first-supersonic-freefall.html>)

{#Embarassed} EDIT - erm, in this case, Firefox does equally well, but you get the idea...

Took me a minute to remember ... found it on the TheAppleBlog, MB. It's called ClicktoFlash.
I hope I haven't messed with Safari but it seemed reliable. My MBook's purring like a kitten since I put it on.
(Damn. Please ... no pictures of kittens.)

But actually, Safari seems just as fast now. Weird. I downloaded this thingy (sorry, I forget; dummy) that kills all Flash video on Safari until you want to see it. Supposed to eliminate all that processing sound I get when I flip around pages and sites. It actually has made a difference the past few days. I haven't "heard" the Mac steaming away since. I'll keep Chrome around - but I'm staying here on Safari. I only use FF when I have to access school board links.

It doesn't let you set a minimum Font size and its built in font size is way to small for my old fart eyes and I got tired of manually increasing the Font size on each and every page.

ayup - more little, obvious things that need to be fixed.  it's only been out for a couple of months and I do like the speed of the thing.  it has potential.

I used Chrome for a day and then went back to Firefox because Chrome wanted me to log in on RP and I couldn't remember my password

I've been playing with Chrome since yesterday evening and have decided that the Mac version still needs work.  There are some very simple features that are missing, like being able to edit bookmarks.

The first web page I got to that needed Java, the placeholder informed me that there was no plugin available, but a quick Google session proved that this was incorrect.  I have it working just fine now.

Be sure to read Chrome's fine print

EDIT: I added another smile to the right, and then compared the HTML from the duff one and the good one:

<img title="{#Smile}" src="tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="{#Smile}" /><img title="{#Smile}" src="scripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="{#Smile}" />

Strangely, the URLs are different!  For the same smiley!
