I figure the igniter thing isn't sparking and it's a $40 part and 10 minutes so I was about to order it but I wasn't in a hurry so I closed the window to the parts place and was thinking about how it's under warranty so I should look up and see if it's covered. Instead, the Maytag site has a troubleshooting widget that actually worked. Before they get to actual oven problems, question 1 was: is the floor of the oven lined with foil? No.
Question 2: Is something in the storage drawer causing a problem? (unload the storage drawer and test the oven).
A cookie sheet was riding pretty high and off the back of the stack of stuff down there. Took it out and the oven works now.
