This thread used to be for guitar players to share information about guitars; a few years ago it changed. I guess there aren't as many guitar players posting in the forum these days. I think there is a "great guitarist" or "best guitarists" thread. No matter.
Watching another great episode of Rock Legends on AXS TV and the subject was The Yardbirds. Never thought of how amazing it was that at one time or another 3 of the top 10 greatest rock guitarists of all time were in the same band! Clapton, Page and Beck. Just amazing.
The movie Blow-Up captured the period when Page and Beck were both in the band.

Just a terrible shame about Page's back.He lost what he loved the most.
At least he got to experience that level of greatness.
Most of us simple people are never great at anything.

Picked up a used DigiTech Artist Series XAS-EC Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar Multi Effects Pedal today for $35. The salesperson offered it to me at that price instead of the $80 price tag on it because he said it either sucked or was broken and they've had it for well over a year. He then showed me by plugging it between a strat and a cheap amp!
When I got home, I found out it's actually a modeling pedal (I had a hunch), so it was supposed to be used on an effects loop - no wonder it sounded horrible! The link above has some audio links in the lower right corner for 5 of the 7 settings. I only wanted it because it has a direct out to a mixer and had intended to mod it. Think I'll leave it alone for now as it sounds pretty good on the effects loop of my Roland BC-30 Blues Cube. This doesn't mean I'm going to start liking Clapton though!
Normally, I don't like to see paint on a guitar. I've just always liked the natural wood finishes better, but this reverse burst Schecter Stargazer makes me drool!

It's a Martin DX1R. The black/gold label isn't for the serial # but denotes the guitar was built in Mexico. It sounds and feels awesome. Especially for a "low-end" Martin.
My mistake, I thought from a previous post in another thread that was what you had. The only reason I could see moving from a Taylor was for a Martin. The headstock logo is different though. Usually it's just the plain name "Taylor".
