Working in the kitchen this afternoon, I had Baker Street stuck in my head (both the original and Foo Fighters cover in which Grohl changes the line "give up up the booze to "give up the crack" - and then I turn on RP and the original is playing.

My next oldest sister sent an email to all the siblings today, saying how when she was waiting with my mom somewhere, and Mom was remarking about the green trees and blue sky and how lovely they were.....my sister broke into Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World" and Mom said, "Oh I LOVE that song!"
Minutes later, it played at the coffee shop where I was writing.

My sister sent a photo of her visit with our mom (in assisted living) today—in which Mom is holding a bouquet of flowers that my sister brought to her.

 

Then I peek into RP and "You Can Bring Me Flowers" (Ray LaMontagne) is playing!

Peeked in and saw "Caught a Light Sneeze" playing, just as I was sneezing.

Went from Elvis Costello on the main listening channel to Diana Krall on PSD - Mr. and Mrs.!

I was just telling my Hawaiian sister about the Bunny Wailer version of "Dream Land" tonight, and then it plays on RP an hour later!

 
(There is also a Hawaiian female singer that covers it, and that version came up on my iPod this evening on my walk—and reminded me of my sister) 

On the way to a coffeehouse, I kept hearing a Patsy Cline song in my head. I get to the coffeehouse and Patsy is playing on their sound system. Now she is on RP when I peek in.
 
 
It's a Patsy kind of day.  

I was taking a walk today with my iPod on, and just as David Gray sang:

BB King's singing a song called "Ain't Fit to Eat" at the precise moment I'm discovering some broccoli that has gone bad.

This is really strange; I woke up yesterday morning with this song in my head and did not know the name of it and quite frankly was resigned that I would never know the name of it so just forgot about it.  Well Slim Whitman died today and it so happens that he was in on a version of this song so I was able to find it after all.  Now, this is not your normal song you would hear anywhere in probably at least 30 years, strange that Whitman's death would bring the answer and strange synchronicity to be paralleled with Whitman's death.
