rainy Sunday so spent the morning practising various forms of patricide with my three-year old: I had my head donked repeatedly with a blue whale, my beard eaten by a horse, I was suffocated by a huge pile of pillows, had brezel sticks poked into my ears, my heart beat measured with a screwdriver and a jet plane crash land on my back. I'm quite impressed with his creativity.

Wow. I have one tree and I'm still figuring out what to do with what I haven't used yet.
Lemon bars
2L of limoncello
dehydrated and powdered
Two big jars of preserved
Lemonade
and I still have a dozen or so sitting on the counter. All Eurekas - the Meyer is flowering but no fruit yet.
There was a few weeks that every few minutes I'd hear a rustle - and another one or two would fall off the branches. Brought them inside and piled them up before the pests got to them.
This is part of his "retirement".
He's researched a lot in the last few years... lemons are getting quite rare.
The prices around the nation are quickly rising.
Florida is having major problems with pest. Here in the desert those type of pest die off every year.
Hence his plan to take over the world.
Lemons will be coming out of his ears in a few years.
This is the first batch. He has room for 200 more trees.

I think I'll be to old to help him when he plans on the next acreage.

My son got ripped off buying some computer parts on eBay. I'd given up on the site long before that.
Woot was lots of fun when it sold one thing a day, before Amazon absorbed it. I bragged here many times about winning/buying a Bag O Crap. Used to be something to brag about.
For refurbs and no tax (it's out of state for me) I've really liked Smalldog.
Yup use to buy from smalldog decades ago but they no longer carry older Macâs anymore. It is a good solid seller in my opinion.
So a month ago I got a nice Mac Pro 2012 dual 6 core processor desktop with a monitor and keyboard at a great price. UPS delivered it completely destroyed. Seller refuses to give me refund after shipped back to her and is keeping the insurance from UPS. So eBay told me to file claim through credit card who will contact eBay which will probably take another month to get corrected. Jump to this past week and I ordered another Mac Pro 2012 single 6 core processor desktop this time with a better graphics card and latest version of Mac OS installed from another seller. Seller guaranteed me of full insurance and correct packaging. It came in today 2 days ahead of schedule. So I opened it in front of FedEx guy and it was double boxed and well packed. So I didn’t take it fully out of the box since one side was pristine. Get it out of the box fully and what do I see? The hidden side opposite of the pristine side is crushed. WTF is with these shipping companies? Nobody takes care of packages. And this isn’t a light package, it weighs in at 51 Lbs. Now I got to deal with another seller, eBay, shipper about the damage. Man this is really screwing up my job prospects.
Sorry you've had all these troubles. I haven't shopped much on eBay but I've encountered a number of would-be scammers there. The eBay dispute resolution process worked promptly and quite well for me. Have you tried looking at Amazon's store for used computers? It has a number of protective policies for buyers and a good selection IIRC. I bought a used iMac there through the Amazon subsidiary Woot. Great deal.
i can second this advice i've purchased several windows work rigs through a couple of related vendors on amazon with pretty good results mind you that it has been bare bones stuff with big processing power (minimal video and audio) i see the ios paraphernalia there as well

It's been raining so much I wanted to take advantage of a dry morning. Turned the bike over and rode around the area for little while and seeing that the roads were dry but the air was cool I went back home and put on my heated leathers. I packed my old Colt .357 in my saddle bag and had a nice 1 hour ride out to my favorite outdoor shooting range where I went through 100 rounds of .38 specials and couple dozen .357's. I am still a pretty good shot at 25 yards with iron sights if I do say so! Then took the long way home through the mountain roads, stopped at some old greasy spoon and had coffee and some eggs. Got home and split fire wood and then fluffed up my income tax return. It'll go in the mail on 4/18 with a check to help support all the slugs on public assistance. I hope you all had an equally righteous day.
A good day.
You'll likely ruffle some feathers around here.
Hey! I'm happy for you.
Just as somebody who'll burn through lots of fuel cruising their boat around.
And pokes fun at your simple life.

Yup much higher prices through Amazon and limited selections for the type of computer I need. The 2010-12 are the last of the desktop Macâs that can be upgraded and customized.
The problem is that the shippers donât give a carp moving packages. Iâve seen them toss boxes like no tomorrow. So the 2 big shippers destroyed 2 computers from 2 different sellers. Nobody takes pride in their work anymore.
