The state high school art symposium was held here last week, so the fam and I took a walk around the arena to take it in. I've noticed in the past that we Wyomingites can fall into the trap of rewarding the adherence to a 'western' theme, and this show presented plenty of that. Lots of horsey stuff and cowboy hats with top prizes. Don't get me wrong, there was plenty of quality there, but it's always annoyed me a little. Sunday, I gave the Letters to the Editor section of the local paper a rare once-over and saw this -

Hayward: Not Everyone in Wyoming is a Cowboy
 
So I guess it's not just me. Quality writing, too.

I suppose it's my dogs that prevent cool stuff like this happening at my house.
