Mexico will contribute $1.5 billion toward infrastructure at the southern border to improve processing and security, Fox News Digital has learned — a commitment that comes as Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador visited the White House.
Lopez Obrador is visiting Washington D.C., where he met with President Biden in a bilateral meeting. A source familiar with the talks said that the $1.5 billion had been committed by Mexico.
It comes as part of a bilateral meeting arranged after Lopez Obrador skipped the Summit of the Americas in June after disagreement over which nations were invited.

This is an interesting one and I don't pretend to know all the answers but it seems that when the oil is released from the reserve, the US can't legally stop it being exported. So that leaves Biden in a position of either increasing world-wide supply to try to lower prices or doing nothing. It's the free market, baby. The oil gets sold on the market and the Republican US congress/senate repealed the export ban in 2015. I suppose Obama could have vetoed that. BTW in 2021 Senators Merkley, Wyden, and Sanders introduced legislation to reinstate the export ban. You are sounding more and more like a socialist, Kurt.
