Going to the ER / ED, walking in, telling the TWO ladies dealing with ONE person that I am choking, on a bay leaf lodged in my throat, being asked if I am with that guy and having said, No, being told to take a seat and wait.

Some F bombs on my part as I sat down.  Proceed to keep gagging and coughing when after a couple of minutes I succeed in finally coughing up the bloody bay leaf.  I held it up in the air for the ladies to see and showed it to the guard and left.  I took a picture of the bloody bay leaf in the car.  Went to an affiliated Urgent Care and told them what happened and asked to be checked out.  They obliged me and the physician came out and gave me a look see at the counter telling me that he really couldn't do much to help me with my cut up throat and once we established that there was no more danger explained a few things satisfactorily.  My primary reason for going there was to document my experience.

It was agreed that in general when someone says they are choking that they should be attended to immediately.  I guess because I could speak that the ladies did not believe me.

I have some phone number to call tomorrow and will be in my onc's office on Wed for a regular appointment.  This should be a teachable moment, that when someone says that they are choking that they should be believed and dealt with sooner (as in immediately) rather than later (take a seat and wait your turn).

Fking Amzon/USPO! They delivered my package to the wrong address. And now they've removed all the ways to get a refund for a item that wasn't delivered.
