Everyone I call is treating me like, "yeah, it takes some time to get a salvage title".  Like it's no big deal to be without a car for 3 months.

My car was in an accident on September 11, 2009
Insurance took a week to total it.
I fought with insurance for a couple more weeks cause they were paying me so little for total loss.
Decided to get it fixed.
Repair guy had several delays (one of which was repeatedly fixing my son's old car that I now need to drive).
Repair guy had further delays when his worker got depressed, and was AWOL for 2 weeks.
Repair guy sent car to another shop.
Now that it's actually being repaired, I begin the convoluted contortions for trying to get a Salvage Title.
(keep in mind, the damage is only to the right rear quarter panel.)
It takes a full day of phone calls to straighten out the procedure.  But, it gets settled.
(I have to send my title to Insurance; they send it to State; State sends Salvage Title req to Insurance; Insurance signs over Salvage Title Req to me.)
New Repair guy has several delays.
Now, the car is done.  DONE!! 
But I STILL DON'T HAVE THE TITLE.  I was told on November 25 that they had it and they would mail it to me on November 30th. 

I can't get a temporary plate without the title.  I can't drive my car without the title.  I can't get the salvage inspection without the title.
