Does anyone on RP play Strat-O-Matic Baseball? I played the board game as a kid/teenager and started again about 4 years ago. There was a sixteen year gap in playing for me and I'm so happy I've rediscovered it. It's been great. It's a real great way to relax for me - play the game while listening to music.
About six months later I bought the Computer version of the game which is great too. In the computer version you can view the player's strat cards and roll the dice on screen if you want to. But with the computer you replay whole seasons many times faster and it keeps track of a ridiculous amount of stats/reports that you would have to do yourself in the boardgame. But playing the board game version still is a good time too.
They also have Pro and College Football, Basketball and Hockey versions of the game that are great too.....{#Bananajam}

{#Whisper} they call it fantasy sports now.

We don't have anyone to play with. And we prefer Apples to Apples, which the A's turned us onto.

Let me know, when I get back home.

Balderdash is my all-time favorite! There's a similar game out there called "Wise and Otherwise" that's like Balderdash, but you have to make up the second half of an obscure quote. Big fun for the creatively twisted.

played Apples to Apples with N4KU, Aligator and JimiTheSaint last night. was a lot of fun. laughed a LOT!

i wanted to purchase Balderdash, my favorite board game, but i couldn't find it anywhere for less than $25, and i just can't see spending that much on a boardgame i'll play a couple times a year. but maybe someday i will change my mind. it is a LOT of fun.
