Huh.  I usually think of Metallica as a band whose motto should be "Because AC/DC's not bad enough."  And the footage of the band—weirdly slow motion—in this vid doesn't do much for me, either.  But man, that slide show that makes up the rest of it is haunting.  And the song ain't all that bad, either.

...ha!...an acquired taste for sure...I grew up w/this music...I think the firat album came out in 84 or something so I was...yeah...14...I still crank these guys up...Sanitarium is a rather haunting tune...I am going to post a few more good ones from them...

I don't know about the video but Roky Erickson's Don't Slander Me rocks.

The Stooges "TV Eye" and some other stuff, live in Cinncinnati, 1970. Some of Ron Asheton's most brutal riffs. And, of course, Iggy.

Be patient. The interview and voice-over guy is hilarious. "That's peanut butter!" he remarks incredulously as Iggy smears it on himself and throws some into the audience. Video quality is poor, but this is history, damn it.

There's colors on the street
Red, white and blue
People shufflin' their feet
People sleepin' in their shoes
But there's a warnin' sign
on the road ahead
There's a lot of people sayin'
we'd be better off dead
Don't feel like Satan,
but I am to them
So I try to forget it,
any way I can
.

...TURN IT UP!!...

Last Exit live, "Destination Out" on German television, 1988. Sonny Sharrock, (Les Paul lead guitar), Bill Laswell (bass, guitar), Peter Brotzmann (tenor sax), Ronald Shannon Jackson (drums).

Video quality a little wonky, but the performance is so intense I had to be scraped up off the floor by a committee of concerned cats. Amazing stuff.

(edit:) Tried fixing the embed, but it won't take. {#Frustrated} Here's the freakin' video link.

I definitely love Bon's AC/DC, but I've also got to give it up for Mr. Johnson in Thunderstruck:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvoeeq-BH4w .  I've heard this used as the opening strains to many a minor league hockey game and it really gets the crowds going!
