Reckon you could get a Roger Daltrey scream in there and clear the bed bugs as well.

That always needs a second application or they come right back.

Ah, I only know that in MrsHJs' ongoing war with the mice the plug-in "ultrasonic" or whatever device had bugger-all effect.

In fact MrsHJ's shriek upon meeting a mouse undoubtably had more effect than any gizmo.

We're thinking about using electronic pest control in the house.  The house is old and has "bee issues", a mouse every once in awhile (we've caught 3 this winter), some wasps, squirrels, and maybe a bat now & again in the attic.

From the reading I've done, independent of the sales pitchy crap, I'm left unsure whether or not any of these devices really work.

If you have some knowledge and / or have a product recommendation, please post & let us know.

Thanks!

I've personally found mouse droppings on top of the device..
Don't know about the squirrels. We put a few moth balls up in the attic, but do not over do this, as they will poison the house and you will have to call poison control..( Been there, done that).

Check with the county extension office for a positive ID on the insects. Different bugs take different actions. My guess is they're not going to be deterred, you need to relocate them or block them out of their home...

21st Century snake oil.

*edit*  yes we have the occaisional rodent visitor. I am cool about this, but others don't, and frankly the early morning shrieks do disturb ones equilibrium.

I'd go with the feline option, but I'd put a little bell on its collar so that the local wildlife has a sporting chance.

If you're having squirrel problems, you need to get on that very soon. March is when they start having litters. I have lots of experience with these critters! PM me if you need some help there.

As for mice, I've found that cats are best - at least the ones that don't sleep all day. Bees are a nuisance too, and may require professional help.  The type of bee might determine your course of action.

I don't trust their objectivity. Very post hoc ergo propter hoc: we had less flies after we did this, therefore doing it must have driven off the flies.

Yes, they do not work. I have found that plain old fashioned mouse traps work second best and of course Cats are best. We live in a 100+ year old farm house and I have never seen a rodent of any kind that was not either being eaten or running for its life in the yard. I have never seen a mouse in this house!{#Snooty}
