That's actually a really good point. I have so far ripped my entire music library using iTunes which is by no means the best. But can I use iTunes to generate a CD that others can listen to? Or do I have to reorganize the cellar?

Yeah, it should work. In fact, it's got the best settings (you can change speed, bitrate etc) for making discs.

My last task—because I've done this the hard way and kept my own personal music files in a My Music folder—is to strip iTunes of everything I DON'T want on it, and just use it for iPod synching and playlists. I don't trust iTunes because it crashed once, and I lost everything in it. Thankfully, I had everything in its real spot in my own album files. I know it's using double the hard drive space, but so be it.

You can create a playlist in iTunes, then burn it to a CD.

On a related note......I have finally completed my CD-to-computer migration of select mp3s. Just a few more hours of fine-tuning and organizing the files...and it will be SO very easy to make/find playlists, without having to say, "Damn it. I don't have that on my PC!" and interrupting my creation to copy over.

Now I have until March to pick my very best idea (cause they've been brewing, let me tell ya)!

{#Yes}

It's also good for setting my mood on the way to do massage at work.......and for background music to family Scrabble games (everyone likes it, no matter what their taste or age), and just overall AWESOME.

Yay Alafia! {#High-five}

We were going to go to TN this weekend, but decided to do that next weekend instead.  So I hope I have a CD waiting for me when I get there :-)

Sounds like a great idea for a theme!  Cant wait to hear it.

{#Notworthy}  Lazy8's packaging is truly a work of art!  Pdxbiker just saw it and was like...."Oh GOD..the PRESSURE!!"  {#Lol}  I just got it 5 minutes ago so I haven't even begun to enjoy all the leftovers, but I can't wait!  {#Propeller}

Another {#Notworthy} goes out to pdhski for his kickass idea!  I've been "listening in tongues" all morning!  At first I thought I might not be smart enough to handle an entire CD of foreign language songs...Luckily I was wrong...or the songs are really accessible and awesome...or both!  I'm loving the variety!  Really well done, Hotski!  The cover art rocks as well!  {#Hearteyes}

Just replaced the power supply in the music 'puter and scanning now to see if its gonna live.  So its time to relax and breathe deep.  {#Chillpill}
