Can't wait for our turn. We had one kick-ass concept, which was discarded for another kick-ass concept. Already playing around with track order and cover art.

It feels kind of weird that the co-hosts don't get any mixes on their month. I know people have been handling this issue in various ways, but I'd kind of like to get something down in the official logistics if I can. So my question to you all is how do we make sure co-hosts receive at least one mix on their month?
Here are a few options I've been kicking around. Feel free to add any here that you don't see.
a) Do nothing - the current logistics are fine.
b) Add ONE co-host to each of the other co-hosts' mail-out list - this would bring the number of CDs you mail out to 5.
c) Add ALL co-hosts to each of the other co-hosts' mail-out list - this would currently bring the number of CDs you mail out to 10.
——————————————-
I would prefer to do something along the lines of Option B. 5 CDs to mail out is still a manageable number, and all co-hosts would be covered (receiving one mixtape that month). Option C is appealing to me because each co-host would receive multiple CDs that month. It makes the role of co-host all the more sweet. BUT...as our group grows, so will the number of CDs you as a co-host will have to mail out. 10 is already an unmanageably high number for some.
I'm open to the ideas of the group here...
Option A. It won't kill us to wait. What are we...5 year olds?

oh hey! sorry i still hold the title "oklahoma's biggest procrastinator" (notice i didn't say world's - also in my defense i'm working full time, got 2 kids in "activites" , i'm taking 3 classes - easy ones - and trying to steer a divorce into the home stretch...whew!). Any way the goofy "Murder" theme...i pulled a theme out of thin air - sorta - Mafia wars had been sucking up my time - and that pop up every time I iced some one..."nothing personal" - it's just my job to murder. (Any one want to join my Mafia - I have room for 200 more! hehe) So it was interesting to track down some murder songs. You guys got some of my favorites and a couple of new ones. Some I had in mind didn't even make the cut (sorry Mr Mojo Risin').
Cocaine Blues (Live) - Johnny Cash - Sung live at Folsom Prison -about using cocaine, shooting your woman, running to Mexico, getting arrested, going to court, sentenced to Folsom pen, ....lay off that whiskey and let that cocaine beeeeeeee. I'm starting to really like old time country.
Long Black Veil (Live) - The Corn Sisters - not the Neko song i had in mind but I was trying to bring something different to the table. Neko could sing anything and make it sound good.
Maybe Liquor, Maybe Blood - Judith And Holofernes - Random find on the internets. I heard this song and and bought 4 CD's from CD baby. They are out of San Francisco - influenced by Portuguese Fado music.
Country Death Song - Violent Femmes - most disturbing song for me....but i can't help liking it.
Strange Fruit - Billie Holiday - the awesomeness that is Billie. This version is from the Verve Unmixed CD.
Perry Mason Theme - The Blues Brothers - One of my favorite shows when i was a kid - I'd hear teh theme and i knew my show was on!
Miss Murder - A.F.I. - get your Guitar Hero III on....if necessary just use your air guitar.
Murder Incorporated - Bruce Sprinsteen - new one for me, I'm really trying to like Bruce. I"m getting there.
Bull Black Nova - Wilco - off the new album - point of view of a man that's killed his girlfriend.
Maxwell's Silver Hammer - The Beatles - this has been a favorite since junior high. I had to put it on here.
Blood - Bob Schneider - a new favorite from a new favorite. I heart Bob.
Dial A Hitman - Big Audio Dynamite - I became obsessed with this song in the late eighties. I knew B.A.D. sampled stuff and I couldn't find where they got the ending conversation - is that Laurence Fishburne?...Matt Dillion?....is it from a movie? IT's probably not but i've always wondered. Plus I've known Viet Nam vets....Doc savage....guns and glory cowboys from the twilight zone.....modern cowboy cadres....
Skinned - Blind Melon - Kazoos! and Banjos! ..about Ed Gein...I'm just sitting here carving out your navel.....
Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen - Classic!
Away With Murder - Camera Obscura - RP introduced me to Camera Obscura - I really like em.
Victor Jara's Hands - Calexico - same with Calexico Son of Sam - Elliott Smith - and Elliot Smith
Psycho Killer - Talking Heads - Classic! Psycho - inspired by Ed Gein - it's all connected.
Hey Joe - The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Classic!
Murder - David Gilmour - nice mellow ending.

I feel the same way, though I wouldn't be upset with Option B.
