Would the EPA silence anyone in their ranks with a dissenting opinion of their data?
And now the EPA has its own "Climategate." It is in the report by EPA's Dr. Alan Carlin who was — according to this July 16 letter to EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson — subjected to a gag order.
The March 16, 2009 report by Dr. Alan Carlin says — among other things — that "As of the best information we currently have, the GHG/CO2 hypothesis as to the cause of global warming, which this Draft TSD supports, is currently an invalid hypothesis from a scientific viewpoint because it fails a number of critical comparisons with available observable data. Any one of these failings should be enough to invalidate the hypothesis; the breadth of these failings leaves no other possible conclusion based on current data."
There's an amazing periodicity in the 500,000 year graph with a steady period of decline lasting 80k to 100k years. Does anyone know of any explanation for that?
Oil companies. Russian mafia. Republicans. You know, the usual.

Put into perspective, this looks pretty interesting too.

That would be weather. Climate is long term, say, over about 5000 nights. So you have one data point out of 5000, which is, as we say in American, a drop in the bucket.

As to China there was some interesting commentary on the breakfast news says that they were keener to align themselves with the G77 with a relatively tough cap than to give the US concessions for the senate. Your senate, your problem was the quote.
Or does china see itself better placed to switch to a lower carbon economy in the next 25years than the US? Because that way they can leave the US high and dry on their own blinkered little corner and start the research and industrial tech oomph to match them?
Lazy 8 is no servo. I might not always agree with him especially on economic policy but he's cool. I wonder if maybe operating in your second language there's a subltey of tone you are missing.
Of course in my second language there's be whole chunks of text I would be missing so I think it's pretty cook that you guys are debating in English. I reckon bringing my kids up in the Netherlands or Sweden would give them a superb start at languages.
Yeah,,you are right,,not doing much good here anyway,I think I'll stick to our cats place and giggle over Jrzy's pics ! I have a Godson in the Netherlands, that would be my place of choice to bring up a kid !
Thanks, will take a closer look. I am thinkin of answering Lazy 8,,but I might be "servoed" !

It is no secret at this point that the US and China are the largest emitters of greenhouse gases. China is thought to have matched or surpassed the US in total GHG emission in the past couple years. The comparison, of course, is unfair because there are four times as many people in China. A more equitable metric – per capita emissions – finds that the average American, Canadian and Australian is responsible for more than four times the GHG emissions of the average Chinese citizen ; —Simon Donner Link
