Actually pretty good, but spare a thought for my right eye.
A week ago I was biking home after a funeral going fast downhill on a forestry lane when a bumblebee land splat right in the corner of my eye and lodged itself there while I violently braked and finally managed to dislodge it but not before it stung me right in the corner of my eye, making one half of my face look like a creature in Avatar. I just got back to looking normal again and now a mosquito has stung me just under my lower lid. Bastid. Now I look like something in Rocky.
But we have a newt in our new pond already! That'll teach those squiggly little protobastids. And I bought protective glasses with bumblebee bottom slip function to wear while riding home from funerals.
Well, no antifreeze in there. Was pure water at the time. Water pump had been leaking for awhile. Overheating. I had put new one one and flushed out but head gasket was compromised. The only solution is to pull top end down and install a new head gasket set and bolts. It's a 4 cylinder so relatively easy. Just hoping at this point head isn't cracked. That will be an additional $400 at least. Hoping old one is sound so I can take it to a shop and have it resurfaced and valves lapped. UGH! The problem is that it's work holding up work. I think I feel grumpy all the sudden. First world problem, right? Old trucks. Gotta love them. LOL

You were just running straight H2O in the radiator? Is that not risky?
On the bright side, the absence of anti-freezer cooling fluid should mean less damage.
You missed the part where I replaced the water pump. It had been leaking and causing overheating, work commitments prolonging that situation. Prolonged too long. Gambled too much. Drained and flushed system and didn't want to waste/leak antifreeze into the enviorns before proper repairs and sure no further issues. It is in fact not good to run just water for too long. It encourages rust rather quickly. Anti freeze in the oil pan is no worse than water. Both bad. I'll tear it down and repair, do a proper tune and it will be good. Hoping head isn't cracked. This is a GM 2.2 four cylinder. Bad about blowing head gaskets. My gamble cost me. Sometimes you just have to stop everything and fix your vehicle, or your life, or both...

I fix stuff. I grease monkey for fun. I need my truck. It's my prime mover. Now I'm stuck with a scramble to shunt distraction and meet commitments. It's a really long story spanning several donut holes. Krispy. No Kreme. Just holes.

As in radiator anti-freeze fluid in the crankcase? The dreaded Strawberry Milkshake of Death? (Not sure what it is if your anti-freeze fluid is coloured green or blue.....)

So whats the plan? Re-build from scratch? Replace the motor with a remanufactured motor? Part out the vehicle and buy another one?
