I like to get the best sounding pressing when I can as well. Sometimes you can't be picky however. Sometimes you have to be patient. I may get these inexpensive copies and keep my eyes open for nicer pressings later. But then, I'm always on the lookout for better pressings.

Thats the main reason I end up with multiple copies of some lp's...

With stuff I really like Japanese pressings are usually my first choice as they never leave you down quality wise. The problem is many other people know that and they are priced accordingly. Still its worth it sometimes..

I wish you hadn't said that.

Speaking of Bob Welch (kinda) I also have French Kiss from it original release. Unfortunately I listened to it the other day and it didn't impress me as much as it did back then. I guess I need to give it another listen.

Kiln House and Bare Trees are very good also, Somehow I ended up with 3 copies of Tusk....One of my Future Games is a Japanese promo and it sounds noticeably better sounding than the US first pressing..

I have Future Games but not on vinyl. One of my favorites too. I only have Penguin, Mystery To Me, and Then Play On on vinyl. One of my local used record stores has a copy of Bare Trees and Future Games, and Heros Are Hard To Find, if I remember right. I'll probably get all three. Oh, you know, I think I have Kiln House on vinyl too....somewhere.  And I've got the first two Buckingham/Nicks editions too, but that's not really what we're talking about here.

I hope to end up with most all of them eventually.

Edit: I had a copy of Tusk at one time, but I haven't seen it lately. It's the most interesting LP of the B/N era, imo. I suspect the turmoil had something to do with it. Sorta disjointed, like the White Album.

So I got more bad vinyl the other day that had to go back. For the trip back to me I added Fleetwood Mac's Greatest Hits on 180 gram vinyl. This is the greatest hits from 68-71. I only have Then Play On on vinyl from that era, so I'm really looking forward to it!

When I still lived there I used to love going to a place called "Record City". It was an old warehouse and they always claimed to have over a million records at any given time. You could easily spend all day there. About a block away was a truck stop called "Mothers Cafe" that had great food and lots of it. That was in the 70's so I am sure they are both long gone...
