National Public Radio is more than willing to give a platform to Trump and his associates.  In interviews.  Trump still has access to the White House press staff and can send all the press releases he wants to.

I just noticed this in the email signature of a printer I'm using today:

when recycled it will come back to us as paper or board. 

I feel the same way. Thankfully I still dexterity and wit to be able to write, and an acoustic guitar to sing along too....

When all our creations become electronic, they're guaranteed to be unreadable or nonexistent in a few hundred years - unlike things written on paper or stone. With nothing physical to hold in your hand, when the electricity goes out - does it exist?

I would love to see all paper publications go the way of the dinosaur.  Paper's day as a publishing medium can't pass soon enough for me.

I felt that way until I got a Kindle.  The convenience and the fact that it is much easier on my eyes than a "real" book has made me a convert to ebooks.  A big part is the eInk technology used in the Kindle, no backlit screen so very comfortable to read.

I got my 81 yo Mom one for Christmas, didn't know if she would take to it as she has repeatedly not used technology gifts she received in the past, but she has fallen in love with it and has read 4 books since she got it 10 days ago.

I have to say I much prefer a real book for literature, though not for reference.

Future-gazing has proved to be somewhat unreliable so far, I don't see that changing.

Why would a person buy a heavy book if s/he could download it onto a reader, have the reader read it, have a children's book be interactive, thereby entertaining as well as educating. And if you want to print it out, you can print it from your own printer at home. I have read articles about 3-D printers that will "print" a table right in your own home.

Remember cd's? I used to go into Borders and listen to music on their stations, then buy a few cd's. Who does that now? Well, nobody, because Borders doesn't even carry cd's for the most part any more.

I remember when every household had a set of encyclopedias. Parents saved their pennies to be able to afford a set for their children.

How many people still have land lines? Phone books?

I went to a seminar once where the guy said you can be the best buggy whip manufacturer in the world, but if no one needs a buggy whip...

I would bet money on print as we know it being completely gone within 10 years.
