It's a working orchard/farm/bed and breakfast called Sakura Ridge. I stayed a night there.

this is one of the problems about the home exchange website, you can do a LOT of cruising around looking for the perfect gaff.  This one is in the Spanish Pyrenees.

Old, being remodeled. We looked around a bit last year and discovered that we can't afford the house we really want, and the houses we can afford have the same kind of compromises that ours does. So we figured we would just spend a bit to fix up everything we don't like. So new kitchen, reconfigured living room with a 'feature' wall (curvy wood custom cabinet wall), new bath finishes, convert one room to master suite and walk in closet. Along the way fix lighting oddities, let Mrs. Islander loose in the tile store.... this is about the point where I start wondering why I thought this was cheaper..., fix wiring problems, skim coat the walls, replace the remaining single pane windows, change the lousy access to the basement, fix odd storage room, put laundry into a room

Anywho, we won't be paying a commission or resetting the property tax clock this way, and it will be really nice when done.  We'll have even more energy efficiency (my new target is to get down to 25% of the energy use when we moved into the place), only a few annoying compromises (parking, a town full of old people), and we'll still have our marvelous view.

sounds great, I thought it looked familiar!
