You're not kidding, thanks for bumping it.

I'd love to see her with a solid backing band like Lucinda Williams' ... that music needs a little bit more backbeat, I think.

Just listened again but at first I forgot to turn off the RP stream.  Makes a strange remix with Bach Prelude #1 in C.

#Tay4Hottest100: Triple j says Taylor Swift banned from Hottest 100 music poll

Triple j says the social media campaign to get Taylor Swift's song Shake it Off to the top of its annual Hottest 100 countdown has resulted in the artist being banned from the poll.

After ongoing delays on long-held promises, the Melbourne live music scene is at last getting the protection it needs from noise complaints and encroaching residential developments...

Megan Washington stutter: Australian singer-songwriter embraces fear of public speaking

Not strictly about music but the TV show last night a fascinating look into the relationship of speech and music. And also revealing insight to Megan Washington's musical journey. I could see her going totally pop or become a really awesome singer-songwriter.  Shit, she could probably be successful at whatever she sets her mind to, musically.

Yeah, it is nice to hear pop that rises above the norm.  But for Washington, the EP version is better than the full production one IMO.

Oh yeah.  I did mention BMX, right?  This makes me smile, maybe because adults on BMX just look goofy.

So, Australian streaming radio (to supplement, not replace RP).

The main youth radio station is Triple J. We love music! Maybe too much rap for the RP crowd. I mostly listen on car trips.

The link also contains links to Double J - the stream for people who listened to Triple J when they were growing up, and to Triple J Unearthed - dedicated to unsigned bands.

There are some other listener supported stations in Melbourne but I don't get them here.  I don't exactly live back of beyond but the population density drops rapidly outside the major cities.
