Thank you all for posting! I LOVE the songs you've suggested!!
The devine comedy was a huge surprise, I did not know the band and they are fascinating. Thank you for introducing me to them!
Hair and melanie have this great flower power vibe ofcourse, so it will suit the white clothing and flowers in our hair.  :)
La foule from Edith Piaf is a great song to dance a walz to. So twirling and twirling en till you can't see straight.
Only sam the sham and the pharaos I did not add, because they were featured generously at my last party (50's/60's). I do love them though!

I'll show you some of the songs I've come up with so far.

I all ready mentioned this one:

And this one too:

I wanted some rythmic songs too, so I added this one too:

Never be afraid of some 80's! :)

And for some rythm again:

For a sly little slowdance:

And again one of those songs with a pushing rythm and a dragging melody, i'm a sucker for that kind of music:

So If you know any other songs that make you feel like your movements could not be big enough, please let me know!!
(as you have noticed, I am not afraid of a completely eclectic mess, so anything goes)

Hello!

In august I'll turn 26 and i'm throwing a party. The theme is going to be a party for Dionysos, god of wine and other good things. :) So flowers in your hair and light loose fitting clothing and a slightly hysterical attitude.

For music I am looking for music that makes you dance with big wavy gestures. It does not have to be ancient greek, but it should make you feel like you are floating on a wavy see. I was thinking of songs like ' Elephant Gun from Beirut and cloudbusting from Kate Bush.

I am looking for some songs with a slightly more demanding rythm. And for aongs with a absolutle lyrical melody. Songs that push and drag at the same time.

Do you guys have suggestions? I would love to hear them!    Thank you!

RichardPrins gives you a complete menu...all I've got is old Sam the Sham and The Pharaohs!   {#Lol}
