I don't see you going after anyone else like this.  You must feel entitled or have special privileges here in order to throw around personal attacks and insults without any fears of censure or sanctions.

You're not going to push my buttons and get me to go off the rails and get booted like you have many others.

You avoid hypocrisy by not taking any positions on anything, just lording over this place and making pronouncements as you see fit or your mood suits you.  You are in essence stalking me just trying to push my buttons as I do not start any interactions with you.   You need to start punching up, instead of punching down, which is what a bully does because they are afraid to take on people of the same or greater stature than their own or without any substance.  I'm an easy target because I am held in low regard here in the first place, so no one minds when people take swings at me.  As evidenced by SFW's post right below.  But you take it to different level by insisting on making it personal instead of just disagreeing.  And it seems to please others when you do.

You're an arrogant, elitist SOB.  Try being a man and go pick on someone your own size for a change.

That's just not true, Kurt. You like to take your shots. Not a thing wrong with that. You've paid some dues getting through. Silence from other folks actively on the forum needn't be construed as anything other than contemplation. The rightness or wrongness of anything is mostly a side show. What's really going on is the need to feel like something matters. Well it all does matter.
What matters is found in contemplation within one's self. Who am I? Where am I? Where have I been? Where am I going? How can I find peace of mind and still feel relevant? Still feel alive?

This quote or a similar one has been repeated many times by many people over the years. Life is 1% about what happens to you, and 99% how you react. No one should feel pushed around or ganged up on without being able to fight back, but the real fight is for us to learn how to accept what is often unacceptable. If we can work with those dark corners of dissonance then we all become artists from the inside out.
This is to say, in the grand scheme, to be a reactionary is to be late to the opportunity. I know. Sounds good on paper. One part pipe dream. One part courage. One part undeterred.
No wish to offend anyone. I've been saying the same thing since I first came to Radio Paradise. How we treat each other in this world; that's a biggie. It's naïve. It's idealistic. It has always been that way. Sorry. I never grew up...

I have wished no ill will on him, unlike you towards me.

He should have withdrawn his candidacy due to his medical conditions, for his own good, not to mention the good of the people of Pennsylvania.

But instead, he pushed ahead and set himself up for this latest health crisis.  It demonstrates a lack of self respect.  He has no one to blame but himself.

Mr. would imply respect.

I like how you've tried to twist this all around, but the point was you of all people should understand how a health issue can have all sorts of impacts on your life, professional, personal and beyond. But you chose to make a snide remark about him not voting and now saying he should have withdrawn. But he can still fulfill a majority of his job, and appears to be doing so:

https://www.inquirer.com/politics/pennsylvania/john-fetterman-hospitalized-depression-senate-bills-constituent-services-20230306.html
https://www.inquirer.com/polit...

in 2012, Mark Kirk had a stroke (https://www.npr.org/2014/03/09/288108181/a-senators-long-and-patient-recovery-from-stroke
https://www.npr.org/2014/03/09...) so I'm sure you can point to where you are out here calling for his resignation right?  No, because he's on 'your team', and that's all you really care about.

So pardon me, but I will continue to call you out on your hypocrisy and your disingenuousness as long as you continue to present it.

Some perspective from an NYT article:

When Mr. Fetterman checked himself into the hospital on Feb. 15, the lead doctor told him that his case was treatable and guaranteed he would get back to his old self. Post-stroke depression, doctors said, affects one in three people and can be very serious, but is also highly treatable.

...

The strict regimen may be working. People around Mr. Fetterman said they have noticed a palpable difference in him in recent days: His sense of humor has returned and he is more sociable, sharing with the nurses some of the sweets that have been sent to him by fellow senators.

...

Since Mr. Fetterman checked in to the hospital, he has co-sponsored a bipartisan bill designed to help prevent future train derailment disasters, opened new district offices across Pennsylvania and hired four new staff members. On Wednesday, Mr. Fetterman sent a letter to the agriculture secretary, pressing the administration to deploy resources to the site of the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, to help farmers concerned about chemical release threatening the viability of their farms and livestock. East Palestine is near the Pennsylvania border.

...

It is not unusual for lawmakers to be told by members of their staff, sometimes after the fact, what bills they are co-sponsoring. With the exception of calls to cabinet officials or meetings with the chief executives of companies that are important to their states, there are few meetings that cannot be handled by senior staff.

“Any lobbyist will tell you that if you get as high as the chief of staff, and that chief makes a promise to you that the senator will do something, that will be accepted,” said Ross Baker, professor of political science at Rutgers University and a former aide to Senator Harry Reid, Democrat of Nevada. “It will be as if the senator himself gave the OK.”

Mr. Baker added that even with a senator sidelined, “a Senate office, particularly under an experienced chief of staff, would run pretty much in a normal way.”

The really good news is that his not voting is still better than having Dr. Oz on the floor.

Australia has an interesting tradition when a member is unable to vote for health or other reasons, the opposing party will designate a member to abstain from voting to keep the balance. Since voting is almost invariably on party lines it is pretty fair and surprisingly polite.

Good debate; no ad hominem attacks. Support your argument with links, vids, rhetoric or facts. Even if you disagree, behave graciously.

What he did SAVED PA from 6 years in Oz.  For that, the people of PA are eternally grateful.

He put the Constitution and the country before personal health.  On the Right, they'd be raising money for a statue.

Absolutely true.

We could call Hillary Clinton a Anti-Semitic Ethnic Cleansing Terrorist and, technically speaking that would be correct.  But where does it get us?

Perhaps an adult-like, mature discussion of nuclear weapons doctrine, strategy and proliferation would represent time better spent?
