You have to be aware of update conflicts though.  Dropbox will detect a conflict and saves a copy of the conflicted file, but of course it can't do the magical thing and merge the changes together.

They have Linux support as well, after a fashion.

(For general online backup we use Backblaze.  $50/year for each computer.  Only backs up from local disks (including USB), not network drives.  No Linux support.  No limit on backup space, according to their web site, but they won't handle individual files larger than 4G.)
