As for kids, I'd rather them smoke weed than drink, any day.  Less likely to find them dead from a car wreck....

I smoke it on occassion, far less than I used to years ago in high school and college, principally because it is very difficult to get decent stuff these days, and the majority of what is available here is monoculture, hydroponic crap that simply makes me want to go to sleep. That's no fun. I can do that quite easily without drugs thankyouverymuch.

For the record, I dont have ADD.  I use it to quell my anxiety,  plus it feels good & all the cool kids do it

This is my own personal opinion, but i think a lot of peeps smoke weed because they have ADD, and I think that's one of the reasons why kids smoke it. Better than Ritalin. I don't think it causes any more angst than teens go through anyway, and actually may help. I know lots of smart kids that continue to go to school, get good grades, accomplish all kinds of stuff that are pot smokers, and I also know a lot of kids who just sit around and smoke weed.

I personally think it should be legal and available. As I said, I think alcohol is much worse. A huge number of teens die every year in car accidents from drinking. And boy, as a parent of two very successful adult children , I can tell you that it is widespread, and generally accepted by the parents. I was the one who used to tell their kids that I would rather they smoke weed than drink. They both drank in hi school, and one smokes pot.

Instead of calling people who smoke weed names, let's take a look at why they are doing it. I know why I do it (besides really enjoying it). It's such a not a big deal, but everyone is making such a big deal. How old were you when you started, huh?
