Today?!

A beautiful little chiming brass carriage clock with platform escapement, made by JW Benson of London in the 1850's for the great-grandmother of it's present owner.
It runs OK even though it was last serviced over 50 years ago.

What Smartwatch or quartz plastic will still be giving faithful service 100 years from now?
A Smartwatch is redundant in 3 years and a Swatch in 10, with no way to repair or service.

Create legacy, not landfill, that's what I do......

     The high school my daughters went to (okay, the youngest officially graduates next month {#Eek} ) has an annual fundraiser for Make a Wish called Rodstock where the students perform music. Rodstock's kinda cool because it's a very open forum and a lot of unexpected talent comes up an performs.
     The former principal of the school had special needs children and always placed a lot of emphasis on their acceptance and inclusion. It's looking like they're retaining that aspect of the culture, which is a very good thing.
     Alyssa here decided to rock out to some Journey. It was well received. I can assure you, the applause and encouragement here is genuine.
