This is fookin' brilliant now innit?  This is why I struggle to identify with liberals (most liberals are white, most  people of color are conservative Democrats just  because that is the only party they have some control over and can at least get some attention) even though I fully understand their positions and support many of them, I just can't do it!

So funny.  Except the young white feller should not complain.

Imagine what it is like being an old smelly heterosexual white dude.  Nobody loves you.

You might have been on the picket lines, active in the street, organizing in the barrios, chillin' with dudes in the slums of Panama.  None of it matters, it is simply a question of how you look and smell.

On Wednesday, this cute little girl (I'm guessing about 4 years old) on a scooter, looks at me and asks, "What are you doing?" I told her I was delivering flyers. She smiles at me and says, "Nooooooooo, those are not flowers". {#Lol} I repeated that I was delivering flyers. She has this surprised look on her face and says, "Ooooooohhhhhh".

Realizing that perhaps the fact that I'm not an "in your face" person when I'm around children, made my boss's painfully shy young son warm up to me ... a little. I speak to him, in a friendly manner (despite his deer in the headlights reaction), and leave him alone for the most part. Yesterday he returned my wave when they were leaving the office. Progress!

Yes and no.

Black South African elites are now exploiting Black South Africans.  That is indeed an 'improvement' though the transition will long and painful for many.

Otherwise, her attitude is indeed ironic to the extent that modern Christian Churches played a vital, key role in helping to topple the Apartheid regime.

Such a good point....I must remember to tell her that.
