Minority president wins election on deceit, possible foreign entity intervention, and some geographical good fortune in his voters' location. Prepares to dismantle government as we know it. Scares the shit out of me.
seems like we hear something similar every four years or so (at least in my lifetime)
we'll get through it (or most of us)
of course warfare, welfare and debt trend lines will hold their course
Write your Republican congresscritters and sentators. Remind them that, regardless of party, their job is to be a check on power not a rubber stamp. If our government is damaged on their watch, they need to be held accountable.

Good thing the Democrats have not been in support of expanding Presidential executive power lately. Too bad I cannot post pics on this site at work because a Nelson ha ha! is most appropriate!

Unfortunately and oddly, there were some people expressing somewhat similar misgivings eight years ago.

I know a lot of people disagree with me, but Pence is obvious and traditional. There are checks in place that will work with him, even with a single party in control. I can't see Pence getting a second term, and I can't see him getting a lot of his crazy in place as a sub in.
There were several times during the primaries and a couple of time during the general election that I thought that Trump was trying to lose. This has crossed my mind again with recent things done by him. But I guess I'm wrong, this is how he will "govern", we'll just have to hope that the checks and balances kick in in time
