Be proud of your contempt, your condescension, your utter cluelessness about why your neighbors voted for The Unspeakable. Don't listen, don't leave the bubble, don't change a thing! Stand firm in your sanctimonious superiority! Stay irrelevant. Democrats need to stop trying to feel everyone’s pain, and hold on to their own anger. By Frank RichSo hold the empathy and hold on to the anger. If Trump delivers on his promises to the “poorly educated” despite all indications to the contrary, then good for them. Once again, all the Trump naysayers will be proved wrong. But if his administration crashes into an iceberg, leaving his base trapped in America’s steerage with no lifeboats, those who survive may at last be ready to burst out of their own bubble and listen to an alternative. Or not: Maybe, like Hochschild’s new friends in Louisiana’s oil country, they’ll keep voting against their own interests until the industrial poisons left unregulated by their favored politicians finish them off altogether. Either way, the best course for Democrats may be to respect their right to choose.

as it turns out after another look, the Stones did do 3 shows in Atlantic City Dec 17, 19 & 20 I'd like the story to be true

Once again we have a 9 yr old wallowing in his own shit and flipping off everyone that dares to look his way. It's incredibly embarrassing as he sits back and plays President insulting women, minorities and the poor. What is even more frightening are his supporters that refuse to see how dangerous this type of behavior is and how embedded he and his corporate buddies are.

It's no surprise that Trump lacks nuance. From the CBS feed regarding today's Comey testimony:12:48 p.m. President Trump posted two tweets from his @POTUS Twitter account during the hearing and inaccurately said the NSA and FBI are saying that Russia did not influence the electoral process. Actually, they are saying that Russia tried to influence it in Trump’s favor, and the president was briefed on that in January. The intelligence agencies just can’t say whether Russia’s efforts determined the election’s outcome.

Yeah. And this talking point that they're taking into consideration what coal miners and mothers of two think about budget decisions is such b.s. And, of course, if they did talk to them, these people would be begging for more money to be spent on the military and for programs like Meals on Wheels to have their budgets slashed.

From a friend in a closed group next door: Here's to all of the people who voted for Trump: Remember when the so-called President said he was going to donate his salary? Well he just accepted his second paycheck. Remember when he said Mexico was going to pay for the wall? He has asked Congress to appropriate the $25 billion of taxpayer money to cover costs. Remember when he said he was going to divest from his businesses? Changed his mind. Remember when he said he was going to release his tax returns? Changed his mind. Remember when he said he wasn't going to go on vacation or play golf? 5 of the last 7 weekends he went on vacation and played golf, costing taxpayers $11.1 million. Remember when he said he was going to use American steel to build these dangerous pipelines? Russian steel arrived last week for the Keystone Pipeline XL. Remember when he said would defeat ISIS in 30 days? He still doesn't even have a plan. Remember when he said he was going to appropriate money to HBCUs? He lied to get a photo-op. Remember when he said he was going to drain the swamp of Washington insiders? His cabinet is filled with lobbyists, oil and Wall Street executives. Remember when he said he wasn't going to cut social security and Medicare? The Republican bill does just this. Remember when he said that nobody on his campaign has any communications with Russian govt? 7 of his people have now admitted they spoke and/or met with Russian officials, after they lied and got caught. Remember when he said that the Obamacare replacement would cover more people at lower cost? The AHCA that the GOP and 45 are now pushing; they now admit will cover fewer people at a higher cost. Share so everyone can remember.
