This is worthy of a more authoritative evaluation, I'm inviting Michael Pollan to join this discussion. He knows the hideous effects of korn better than anyone on the planet.

{#Frustrated}
 I just realized I also sit on it if I'm playing the guitar for a long time ( a la Michael Hedges minus any talent) and I've barely  picked up the guitar in   a couple months. Thus even more time in pseudo-Swami position.

I've got a small corn in between my little and ring toe.Anyone ever had one  they successfully treated and removed themselves? I've seen suggestions for everything from aspirin to oatmeal to lime wedges.I don't want to use the stuff they sell at the drugstore because it kills healthy tissue.I don't want to just file it down, I want it to be gone. I had one 20 years ago and had it removed by a podiatrist, but there has to be an easy way.

     The weirdest thing is I  only wear shoes  a couple hours a day max.

Hey Rose... I sit on the exercise balls sometimes when I'm working from home.  It is actually pretty cool in that it keeps you on your toes, and makes life/work more interesting!  {#Lol}

It is good for your core muscles.  I just don't see myself doing it in a public/office setting.  I'd be made fun of.  {#Headache}{#Propeller}  I think Security might ask me to leave, too, if I tried to bring it in the front door.

I sprained my back 4 years ago and during the rehab process it was a Godsend. Now that I'm past most of that  I just use it if I'm stiff or sore after a workout or yardwork or such. It takes pressure off the lower back and  acts like a shock absorber .
     Posture  wise it's excellent  since you can inflate  it to whatever height you want and the constant movement really strengthens  a lot of little muscles.

Definitely, since I go barefoot most of the time, but I keep the ol bokes covered. The toe has  a little bit more of a topsoil layer as a result. The bokes might have more nutrients though. I guess I just don't really know. Dammit Jim- I'm a derelict, not a botanist!

Anyway, I realized earlier that since I haven't been exercising much the last month, I haven't been sore or tight and thusforwhichandsuch  haven't been sitting on  my exercise ball at all, just crosslegged in the chair in the nice comfy(well, except for  the toe) crosslegged position.

Shoes or no, I say Jrzy's right. Something's putting constant pressure on that spot and the corn is the response to that. Usually it's shoes but it sure can be just the way you always sit. Jam some cotton or something between the toes and see if it feels better.
