And who shall we blame for this? Which political party is most responsible, would you say? Show your work.
Fuck off, Iâm holding up my end of the deal. If I could block you I would, so itâs up to us to abide. I donât owe you answers to your bullshit questions & I certainly wonât respond to your commands. Go back in your hole & leave me alone. Iâve said I wonât engage with you anymore, and I meant it. Last warning.
There. Fixed that for you, so your feelings don't get hurt. I'm entitled as much as anyone to pose a question, response or whatever comment to anything posted here. Such question, response or comment is not necessarily directed at the original poster, as was the case here.
Perhaps you would be happier on Facecrack. At least there, not everyone can see you ...
That's what crossed my mind, but different strokes for different folks.
He's had some funny bits over the years but generally he doesn't do it for me. One TV show maybe, but four? Still, I can understand his appeal.
Family Guy used to be awesome, American Dad still is. But the humor part is subjective, what is not subjective is that he would have been out of a job long ago were he not an outspoken liberal. He is mostly relevant in this context as an example of extremely crass and non politically correct satirical humor and that type of humor being in danger of becoming extinct due to a complete lack of sense of humor and an obsession with being offended. The irony is that this knee jerk paranoia, complete lack of awareness of context and understanding of satire is as ignorant as the targets they make fun of.

We liked 'The Orville', a weird mash-up of Starfleet propriety and 'regular people' improprieties. The aliens are pretty hilarious, not the stiff ST/TNG/DS9/Voyager types. c.
Will good comedy completely die out? What is going to happen to Seth Mcfarlane? Jimmy Fallon? Lenny Bruce? .................... And you, and you and....YOU.
Seth McFarlane - good comedy? Anyhow, I'm not sure how that article applies to comedy or comedians (other than maybe Bill Cosby or Michael Richards); it seems to have more to do with people who deliberately cause harm.

It's a pretty superficial discussion of the problem but I'm sure she gets into it in depth in other places. There are two problems with the dog-walker case she uses: 1, what about it requires "criminal justice"? What actual harm was done to the man? Is it a crime to be racist? and 2, her plan for reconciliation requires the man to be in her world âand she in hisâ until she is reformed, and participate in her rehabilitation. I can't imagine anyone being willing and able to do that.
Is the huge response to her warranted? Nah. But welcome to the modern world.

1. - She made false statements to the 911 operator. That could be construed as a crime. If the two parties had stuck around for the police to arrive, she could have been arrested. - If they'd stuck around until the police arrived, HE could have been shot. At the very least put in handcuffs. Whether SHE would be handcuffed is a matter of debate. - Being falsely accused of assault is easy to construe as 'harm' to the man.
2. I don't see 'reformative justice' as a viable plan - like you said, who would agree to that? I think the consequences of her actions were pretty severe though. As her employer, I might have offered the opportunity for community service and 'sensitivity training' - very publicly announced, as was her firing. And a year-long probationary period. She might agree to that, versus losing her job. Just an idea.

Whether sweet or spiteful, white women have the power to kill and maim with impunity, and not just by calling on the cops or white mobs to murder people.
Letâs get historical, shall we?
My university students were always shocked to learn that the glue of white supremacy always has been and continues to be white women.

Virtually my entire life I have disliked and avoided large crowds and more conceptually avoid joining large organizations noting early on that the more people that are involved in something the more likely this will lead to corruption or worse violence and would prefer to keep my contact with other humans in small circles which is why in this context the alteration of lifestyle brought on by the pandemic suited us perfectly. What about people like us? What about people that take this virus very seriously and cannot comprehend the insanity of the rules and how quickly this became a life and death situation till it's not virtually overnight? And they are still trying to imply some type of regulations for businesses and the general public whilst going out in the streets and holding hands with others in large crowds? WTF indeed. Everyone get their act together and maybe I will be more vocal in public, but I doubt it. This is the only outlet I have left to vocalize my opinion in any type of public context, sadly I do not see this changing anytime soon. Quite frankly I don't see much reason to leave my property other than to get homestead supplies and a short commute to work.
