I only learned of Atomic Rooster a month or two ago when Ric Parnell died. The makers of This is Spinal Tap were hiring for the part of Mick Shrimpton, drummer for the movie band and in his interview they asked what bands he'd been in. He said "Atomic Rooster" and they said , "You're in."

My first show was Poison and Warrant back in high school. My girlfriend at the time was decked out with big hair and chains and I had on my holey jeans. Good stuff.

My second show was decidedly better...Pink Floyd. An amazing show.

I just scrolled through the whole forum.  It reminded me of some great people who were once regulars on this site.  Great posts, very entertaining.  I posted mine long ago, it was David Cassidy...yuk...had to go.  Seems like he's back in the news nowadays...

Might have been at that show.  Public Hall.  Livingston Taylor (James bro) opened.  Not sure the year.  Tull was awesome that night.  Great vito A made it even better.  One of the best concerts I ever attended, period.

It was funny about Taylor opening cuz I saw Tull at the Forum in LA in 71 do Aqualung and Taylor opened for them there, too.  Was 10 rows up right behind and above the stage.  Might as well have been onstage because we got to see everything that was going on.

Yes that night blew me away. Great concert
