I only learned of Atomic Rooster a month or two ago when Ric Parnell died. The makers of This is Spinal Tap were hiring for the part of Mick Shrimpton, drummer for the movie band and in his interview they asked what bands he'd been in. He said "Atomic Rooster" and they said , "You're in."

Osibisa as support for Atomic Rooster at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall 1973 .Atomic Rooster were ordinary and Vincent Crane was very peeved that many like myself were more energised and inspired by Osibisa than his band.

My first show was Poison and Warrant back in high school. My girlfriend at the time was decked out with big hair and chains and I had on my holey jeans. Good stuff.
My second show was decidedly better...Pink Floyd. An amazing show.

It was funny about Taylor opening cuz I saw Tull at the Forum in LA in 71 do Aqualung and Taylor opened for them there, too. Was 10 rows up right behind and above the stage. Might as well have been onstage because we got to see everything that was going on.
Yes that night blew me away. Great concert
