  Back in 2003 the Cubs were in a down the wire pennant race with the Astros (I'm not making this up, it really happened)  There were a couple of radio show guys from Chicago who went to Houston sometime in the last couple weeks of the season, got tickets for themselves and their goat, and tried to go see the Astros game.  Apparently even in Huston goats still face substantial discrimination as he was denied admittance.  It was the radio jocks contention that this action transferred the goat curse to Huston.  We did win the pennant and go on to the playoffs and admittedly Bartman that year but the Astros never did recover after that.  They spent their last few of baseball being the one team the Cubs could count on to keep us out of the cellar and finally faced the unimaginable horror of being forced into the non-baseball league.  It may have worked.
