LOL! Hilarious.

The markets are whacking our portfolio too.   /BIGviolin

Psst. There might be a bright side to all this:  the COVID-19 virus makes Trump's re-election in November 2020 all that less likely.

I have already heard pundits using the virus to scare people to promote universal health care.  Let's all stay classy out there.

KUCO... believe it or not, we have a classical station in Derplahoma!

Here's a link to WKSU, Kent State University, Ohio.

It's an NPR affiliate that plays classical music as it's mainstay.  You can easily see the playlists so that you can tell whether or not it is your cup o tea.

Been it's format since the 70's that I can remember so their library is very deep.

Piano Concerto No. 5 "Emperor"
Ludwig van Beethoven  playing right now.

That will work!

I'm telling your wife you said that!

Maybe it is just a phase they are going through. I kind of think that musicians aren't taking enough risks if they don't put out some crap (I'm looking at you Bob Dylan with your "Lay effen Lady Lay")

Have no idea what this is all about, except that it's people reading stories.

I just figured that for $2 it was worth finding out.

Edit: Well, that didn't last long. It's a home-made CD-R. One long track (57+ mins) of nothing but static.

This is actually a pet peeve of mine.  When the band loses such an integral person(s) responsible for the overall sound, they should change their name.  It is a different sonic entity.  So many examples AC/DC, Fleetwood Mac, Lynyrd Skynyrd, list goes on and on.....

I'd visit the Sooner State if someone could guarantee that I'd get out alive.  And free of any involuntarily contracted bovine-origin STD.

Proclivities, NoEnzLefttoSplit, R_P:   Thank you kindly.

I just did a test run on all 3 and they should be perfect.  "Light" in this case is good.

Am currently playing her a CBC-radio classical musical stream.  Would prefer to play her the Radio-Canada stream (en français) but for some strange reason it plays on my PC workstation with Vivaldi, the web browser, but not on hers with Vivaldi, Fire Fox or Edge.  Vivaldi has a chrome engine.  Not sure why and am not keen on figuring it out.

This kind of brings up a whole area I've been pondering on the dumbing down of classical music. I'm as guilty as anyone of really only playing classical when I want background music or to fall asleep. about half of the tiny classical section in our only remaining store that sells cds is expressly aimed at that. So the louder and/or challenging classical isn't played much. Symphonies is some ways are the worst for background music because they tend to have a huge range in volume. You are better off playing metal and turning it down.

So yeah, finding the right classical for your tastes can be hard.
