today is my dad's b'day, the first one since his death. he would have been 82. i miss him.
My dad's birthday is in 7 weeks. He would have been 85. And 5 days before my dad's birthday is the day I had to put my 19 year old cat, Cricket, down. 2006 was the worst year of my life.
I'll be celebrating my dad's life tomorrow with my semi-annual tradition (this date and his birthday) by eating grits and gravy in the morning and some fried okra with dinner.
