I wasn't able to add this to Tim's photo below...Tim added... Now that the Christmas tree is decorated here in the Big Bend of Texas we would like to wish all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.
Very nice. My DB had one like that one year, but not as big. Chili pepper lights.
We don't do a tree but put out a few decorations including the Jul Bok I bought with my own money when I was 7 (internet illustration to save you googling if you haven't seen one):

And with coffee this morning, we had some natural ornaments added (kinda cool because one of our 'normal' ornaments is a little blue bird): The tree is a Yucca bloom. It was about 30 ft tall originally, but it was blown over in the recent Hurricane. I cut about 8 ft off of it to make it manageable, and also because that's all the lights and bulbs we have down here.

I think now I'll work on the gifts and refuse at the bottom and the active flaming char. Also I want to suspend a beautifully toned chime inside the wirework and attach a small fan to gently push it.

A couple more for Buddy. This thing is made from an old dress-form stand, tomato cages, 1/2" aluminum flat stock, various guages of aluminum and copper wire, copper automobile radiator cooling fins, recessed lighting baffles, pieces of an antique candelabra, wire, wire, and more wire, a metal phoenix rising with bubble lights under a Moravian star...
So here's one with reflection and one of reflection. Trying to get more detailed pics up.
The storyline is that it evolved over the course of its 5 yr seasonal installation at this establishment. Santa had left some pretty amazing items added over the course of that time as well as approximately 200 flame bulbs around and through the items underneath and building upward with additional bubble lights at the top. The phoenix is lit more prominently and the Moravian star is still above.
Unfortunately my friends went out of business a couple of years ago so it's been in storage.
I missed the chance to shop it around this year of all years.
Anyhow I can't figure out how to post pics with this phone. That's the status quo...
