Yes, the dairy and meat thing.  Oddly, the famous Jewish deli, Katz's in NYC, is not kosher.

Yeah, I believe one should put (spicy brown) mustard on corned beef if possible. Swiss cheese doesn't seem like a reason to be berated though; but some folks do get pretty rigid about the "rules" of deli sandwiches, which can dramatically vary from one region to another.

I am berated by deli sandwich purists for my addition of swiss cheese.

It was not, however, a contraband corned beef sandwich; unlike  Gemini III astronaut John Young, I didn't have to smuggle my lunch into work.

When it comes to sandwiches with a space exploration pedigree, the corned beef sandwich has no peers, it seems.

If cream of Tomato soup and Grilled Cheese is the ultimate American comfort food, I may have a close second:

Cream of Tomato soup and hot corned beef on rye with swiss.

I had the Crawfish and Lump crab Catahoula with garlic, spring onions and Andouille - cheddar cream roux. Yes, it was as decadent as it sounds, and absolutely delicious reheated today, even though some of the spicy grease from the roux had separated out in the fridge.

I love going to this place, it's exquisite torture. You know anything you order is going to be really good, and it's so hard to try something new when you see all your old favorites still there on the menu, and all of the stuff you haven't tried yet sounds really good as well. Makes me wish I had a time machine so I could spend one day just going there repeatedly and trying everything on the menu.
