The question is whether they are interbred with feral dogs. I'm not sure if the alpine dingos are a distinct subspecies or if they are just purebreds in that area. Sure look different from the normal dingos I've seen. It's an issue because the locals kill wild dogs and I'm not sure if they are allowed to kill dingos or not. It's a hot-button issue that gets into whether they are indigenous or were brought over by people in the last 10,000 years or so. I think they are native wildlife in either case. One of the claims is that a dingo population keeps the wild dogs out and overall they kill less cattle. I don't know enough to say.

You need a special permit to keep a tame dingo but you don't for a dingo-cross. Met a guy in town with a "dingo-cross" that sure didn't look or act like a pet dog. He about admitted as much.

eta: and they are a lot rarer than cyotes in any case.

"Australien government"? Does that misspelling have a certain meaning in Oz that 'Muricans couldn't appreciate?

I do love the repeated use of "sh*tf+ckery"; reminds me of "Rake." We could use that term here.

Sounds like your government's corruption is a bit reminiscent of the one in Washington...

I think they are suggesting that the government is alien when seen from the indigenous perspective, but I'm not really sure. I try to watch my potty-mouth but I may have to start using shitfuckery. Rake was always on too late for me.

A reporter for Australia's Nine Network had a surprise when the python she was holding began biting her microphone.

Journalist Sarah Cawte was doing a piece to camera on snake safety, and was not hurt in the incident.

Get that microphone out of my face! The Reptile Paparatsi had it coming.

They're not taking a cut but you can also donate directly to CDP, altho that will go into the global fund, not earmarked for the fires.
