Sorry, on my bluesound and all browsers is still the same problem with dropouts! If i stream on Vpn connection everything is ok!
VPN via what location? Currently Bluesound players are being fed from the same bank of servers in the US, regardless of location. So that makes no sense.
Hi, BillG!
If I use a VPN Server in Kanada and sometimes in USA there is no problem with the flac streams! But this won´t work on the Bluesound-System (can not stream over VPN)!
I contact my local provider (business), he is also looking for an issue to solve the problem!
Hope we can help!
No dropouts on this VPN:
Amsterdam, NL 185.180.220.253 Cyberghost
My Provider has found the problem:
Dropouts if your provider use IPV6, No dropouts if you use IPV4
Tested, no dropouts yet using IPV4
I'm HAPPY !!!

Geachte heer ...,
I've had an issue with the FLAC stream cutting out on my computer for some time, at least more than a year. It's never been a big problem before, as I generally stream on my hifi via TuneIn, but with the loss of RP from TuneIn I've had to revert to listening on the computer. It's fine on 320k but FLAC is unusable. I've got a very reliable 100M broadband connection and my ISP has checked it several times over the last year and a half, and confirmed that it's good, so the problem seems to be with the FLAC stream itself on the PC web based listening service. I can stream other services, such as video, with absolutely no problems, so I have a high level of confidence in my connection and infrastructure. I'm in Glasgow, UK.
I have the same problem here in Europe (The Netherlands) on my bluesound node 2i. The 320aac stream via tune in works, but the 'native' radio paradise source (lossless flac) drops every couple of seconds. I've reached out to bluesound support as well and they indicate that there is most likely a problem on the server side of RP which might be due to higher traffic?
Hope that the 'bluesound Radio Paradise source' works again, as the sound quality indeed is better. I am glad that at least we can enjoy the music :)
by the way -> on my Yamaha MusicCast receiver I have no issues (stream is AAC 44.1 khz it says).
Warm regards, Jonathan

Just want to remind that the bluesound issue is still ongoing, without intention to be annoying..... :-) I can listen to the main RP sound without interruption via tune in (320 aac ). But with bluesound inbuilt version we have the cutting problem.
But the Bluesound sound quality is by far better than in the TuneIn 320-stream.....at least in the first 7 seconds until the cut-out is coming....

Thanks Bill, I have done it and it works well. It has the added benefit of having all the mixes displayed in one place. Great, like the music you play!
Has Tune-in only just blocked RP. It worked fine until yesterday.

Hi Raoul, Thanks for you reply, so I'm not going mad.... if it helps, what i have now done is create links in my TuneIn Favourites where it allows you to "Add Custom Station". I've added the URL's from Radio Paradise's Web-Site, it seems to work fine with all 4 of the Mixes. It looks like there may be something wrong with the Direct RP Link that's pre-programmed into the Bluos Software, but seems to work fine through TuneIn! Possibly the last update is the culprit? Steve Rood
Hi Bill, I am running BluOS 3.8.8, IOS 3.8.1 i thought Iâd solved the problem yesterday by programming your URL links into âcustom favouritesâ in Tunein. It was playing fine and I listened for a good few hours to all all 4 of your mixes. Today it wonât work at all...so something else has changed. I get the message âPlayer Notificationâ Error: Connection refused https://stream.radioparadise.com/aac-320
Hi, All, I am running Pi/Allo boss/ volumio/ RP plugin, all the Flac channels are stuttering or dropping completely. This is happening on 2 versions of Volumio, 2.77 and 2.72 plus my friend 200 miles south in London has the same problem running pi/berry/volumio/rp plugin. The 320 and lower seem unaffected. this has only happened constantly since this morning (thursday 7th) but my london friend has had it for a week. we both have virgin cable, both my PI's are cat5 connected. btw the sound difference on modest hifi between flac and 320 is clear to hear to both my wife and I. Many thanks Bill & Rebbeca for THIS STATION. (even at 320) Paul Yates
One of our UK/EU servers is out of the loop today, so you've been routed to our bank of US servers. That's probably the issue. Might be better now.
Entirely separate issue from the Bluesound complaints, BTW.
