Hello, RP

Please add feature to sort favorites by "date tagged", or  at least show date when I have tagged (or last changed) this and that song. You probably should have this information somewhere in the database. Thank you

You can get a bit of that info when you sort by newest rated.

https://radioparadise.com/musi...

Good for tracking down the  artist details of songs you recently rated.

I mean, who knew we'd all still be here decades later?

But yeah, sometimes I hear a new song okay new to me and go to rate it and find out I've already rated it. Always a confusing moment...

Hi all,
Sorry to keep bringing this up but: Sonos.

The what-is-playing playing doesn't actually track with what's playing on the Sonos. In fact, what-is-playing deosn't keep up with what's playing "live" on the Main Mix either (I'm viewing this from a PC, listening on Sonos). I knida miss the old site.

The slider is on the player. If you have your browser window narrowed it may not show. I just tried to see where it disappears on my own machine using Chrome. It appears that it drops off the player around 50% of my screen width. Hope this helps!

This has been doing my head in as well - one PC was giving the old site and working, others (yup - PC nerd!) giving the new site and not updating or showing Sonos as an option ...

Here's what I've determined in case it helps.

I've been using Ghostery for privacy purposes, which now seems to prevent Radio Paradise from seeing the Sonos Feed. 'Trusting' Radio Paradise removes a lot of the foolishness! That also removes the Old Site and sends it straight to the new one now.

That being said, the 'What's Playing' syncs with Sonos, but when you click the Information icon it shows the comment screen (as wanted) but it seems to be linked/synced to the (unused) player, and shows the then current song details, but does not update/sync further because the player is not playing*.

For instance - I'm playing Main Mix on Sonos, and Sonos shows as the source on the 'What's Playing' page. I then switch to the detailed Info page, and it shows the source as 'Main Mix', and Sonos does not appear in the source select options at the bottom of the page, because that is the Player source.

The track finishes on Sonos and moves on, and the track on the detailed Info/comment page does not update as the player is not playing (I guess). Switching back to the What's Playing screen shows the new current track, then returning to the Info page shows all the details.
*Note - this still seems inconsistent between browsers. I thought I'd got it sussed then tried a different browser and it didn't work where I swear it had previously. Maybe it needed a page refresh somewhere... Alternatively it might be the sync timing difference between Main Mix and Sonos. My mileage has been varying greatly as I try to work our what triggers what!

Anyway, there appears to be a link missed/broken in the update for us Sonos users.

I couldn't determine what was the 'old site' vs 'new site' decision factor, initially thinking it might be a Windows 10 vs Windows 11 thing, which might be the reason for different behaviour between different PCs but it might be a cookie hysteresis thing - once the ad blockers have been disabled, the cookies update and the switch to the new site becomes default? Now all browsers appear to have decided 'new site' (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, even Ghostery Dawn).

Hey all,

Was having trouble with the OGG links on the new site at https://radioparadise.com/list...

Main Mix links work just fine, but the other streams wouldn't resolve.

What made it odd is that the links I was using on another machine, which I pasted from the old site, work just fine.

Turns out to be an underscore vs. hyphen issue. New links page says Mellow Mix is at mellow_96.ogg or mellow_96m.ogg. Actual links should be mellow-96.ogg and mellow-96m.ogg.

Same appears to me true for Rock and World/Etc mixes.

Hope this helps anyone encountering the same issue.

Thanks for pointing that out,  the typos fixed :D

Thanks William and, again, I LOVE RP. I've been evangelizing RP for the past 20 years and have a lot of friends and family firmly converted (and regularly donating).

I think the part that ahenwood and I are missing A LOT is that the song information page used to sync with Sonos (whether playing one of the streams or Favorites). On the old site we could have RP streaming on Sonos while the RP website was locked on "song info" on our computer so that we could quickly comment / rank / get lost in comments.

It's hard to describe how much I miss that feature.

Love these suggestions!

I'll add one additional to your list as also an avid listener on Sonos systems through my house but while I work, its on a web page streamed on my work machine so I can comment / rank / get lost in comments. One feature I can't seem to find is the ability to "Sync" the desktop stream with my Sonos stream in the house - seems to have been 'lost' in the upgrade.

As always, amazing, amazing platform and community you've created! Long live RP!

We are going to add the option of choosing either album art or the slideshow.
Personally, I love it. But I understand how it could be distracting.
I’m not sure when we’ll be able to implement that (we have a LONG to-do list), but it shouldn’t be too long.

So when scrolling through the forum to the bottom of the page we need the instant to the top of the page by clicking the very top of the browser.

JavaScript window.scrollTo() method — passing in 0, 0 will scroll the page to the top left instantly.

window.scrollTo(xCoord, yCoord);

This should work on cross browser 95% of the time else you can modify using jQuery.

Did get to try it on an actual chrome os device and everything seemed to work as expected.    All I can suggest for now is to try  rebooting the device.   And shift refresh the site a few times.
