My contract stipulates I canât go past 3 batters. When did it become the norm that pitchers canât go past 6 innings and closers only are for the ninth only. I blame data analytics. ð
I give you the example of the Red Sox pulling Sonny Grey, your best pitcher, at only 77 pitches to put a setup guy in and blow the game. ð¤¬
Chad Tracy was possessed temporarily by the ghost of Grady Little, who wanted to make amends. Oops.

That's not a bad idea but only if that pitcher is not forced to pitch beyond the 10th. Or is allowed to be relieved if he allows a run in the 9th or 10th.
Nah, I want them stuck out there until someone wins. That should speed up the decision without starting a runner at second.
I think I'd put in a rule where you have to keep the last pitcher from the bottom of the 9th for extra innings. Unless they are injured, I suppose. Would add a whole lot of strategy, too. Do you put in that closer who will fade if he has to pitch more than one inning? Do you want a left or right hander?

It's so nice to not see someone on 2nd base in extra innings.

Now we get Brewers vs Padres, which should be a cakewalk for the Brewers but both teams have something of a legacy of stumbling in the postseason. So hey.
I was 6 outs away from winter sports yesterday, but we'll see how tonight goes.
I would not want to play the Padres now, especially in a 5 game series as the home team. The pressure to win the first 2 is huge, and history says it's hard to get back in the groove after a week off.
Ignoring the Phillies in this statement... until and unless it's a Dodger vs. Yankee World Series, I can't imagine I'll watch much of the next two rounds.

It's in the field of play for foul balls, throwing errors, etc. It's a pretty infrequent issue, that the existence of a structure on the field would (IMO) be an overreaction with unintended consequences.
The Field of Dreams game is a once-per-summer event that seats 8000 people. I don't know how they decide who gets to go, but ...
The Jackson Hole Airport is within the boundary of Grand Teton National Park. Across the highway from there, the townlet of Kelly has farmland and pasture that's level and could certainly be "field-of-dreamsed" into a ballpark with some parking available without damaging any of the undisturbed area around. The sagebrush flats in the area are lovely, with the Tetons in the background. With an aggressive campaign to use the START bus system to bring ticket holders from their lodging in town (about 15 miles), it could be pretty cool. Especially if they do it old-school without an outfield fence...
When I was a kid, there was a little league field up in the Shoshone National Forest. Area Cub Scouts would have a tournament there every summer. Hit the ball hard enough, it goes out into the sagebrush and the defense would have to retrieve it and get it back into the infield before the bases were cleared. I never hit it that far but I do remember having to hunt down the ball a few times...
Do I trust the current guy to not try to put in something awful in a pristine area? I do not. BUT there's also an extreme housing crisis in the town of Jackson. There's immense pressure on the local gov't to allow the in-town rodeo grounds to be converted to housing. Do I trust them to not make it million-dollar 1000sf condos? I do not. But if they were to put in a cool rodeo grounds up in the same area, provide some housing in the town, that might be considered a win-win.
Cut the National Park Service budget by 1/3rd... then do something superficial so the sycophants will say "he's trying to promote them". The playbook is tired and boring at this point.
What really pisses me off is MLB approaching him with this idea. What a bunch of bell-ends.
