It's a sad case but this father, who had been twice banned from flying as part of his job, crashed his plane and killed his daughter. An awful thing to live with but I think he had adequate forewarning.

Yeah, I hate that racket. The issue here is the fact that 25% of the people on the road have no insurance.

My car insurance payment went up $7/month with no claims or tarnished record. Here is the reason in the FAQ:

New leadership. Has no idea what mistakes were made fifteen-twenty years ago, because they were still in college then.
Took me into a room today and told me that they were taking the whole thing apart to create a DMV-like experience - because that's what people want. It's what we had in the past, and was so expensive and disliked that it had to be taken apart.

My team will have to learn new skills, be deployed elsewhere.
Quality will become haphazard. Costs will go up - we're taking order and creating chaos.

Fortunately, I can retire in two years - which is about how long it will take for this to all play out...
My project will be dismantled as I head for the rocking chair.
