According to multiple NYT sources, it wasnât even military personnel at Fort Bliss that fired an anti-drone laser at alleged cartel drones. It was CBP who used the weapon on loan from DoD against a childâs party balloon they mistook for a drone. The Pentagon/Hegseth/Trumpâs choice for the position gave CBP an anti-aircraft weapon.
This is no surprise:
1) The Trump administration fucked up again
2) It hurt innocent Americans
3) They lied about what happened to save face
4) The free press is important to make sure we know the truth
NYT:
Federal Aviation Administration officials were forced to close El Pasoâs airspace late Tuesday after the Defense Department decided to try out new anti-drone technology without giving aviation officials ample time to assess the risks to commercial airlines, according to four people briefed on the situation.
Those accounts, offered on the condition of anonymity because the officials were not authorized to comment publicly, challenge the official explanation from the Trump administration. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, along with representatives for the White House and the Pentagon, insisted on Wednesday that a sudden incursion of drones from Mexican drug cartels had necessitated a military response, which prompted the F.A.A. to close the airspace.

So now it turns out that even Trump didnât bother to watch the Turning Point half-time show with his pal Kid Rock.
What a burn! Bad Bunny living rent free in Trumpâs head for a good bit I guess. That or even Trump knew the Turning Point event was complete garbage.
The Athletic reported that SeÅor Bunny had more viewers than the game itself. Don't know how that happened.
Grand Jury Rebuffs Justice Dept. Attempt to Indict 6 Democrats in Congress Before Mr. Trumpâs second term, it had been exceedingly rare for grand jurors to rebuff requests by prosecutors seeking indictments. It is now happening with increased frequency, as Mr. Trumpâs appointees push ahead with questionable cases in an effort to appease him.

Missed a chance to say âspineless subservient lackeysâ but maybe it was due to character count on the post. I think an important next step is to continuously publicly shame Congress.

No class, our senile rapist felon president:
— President Trump called Hunter Hess, a U.S. Olympic skier, âa real Loserâ after the athlete acknowledged having âmixed emotionsâ about representing the United States. Mr. Hess, who told reporters there was âa lot going onâ in the country that he was ânot the biggest fan of,â is among the American athletes, coaches and fans in Italy who have had a difficult time escaping politics at home.
