I used to live less than 5 miles from Lockheed's Marietta facility. There were millitary aricraft, of all kinds, coming in and out of that place day and night. And some of those really BIG planes take a while to get up off the ground good. They make the buildings rumble. The first time I saw a 22 was driving down Marietta Parkway with a friend (who was an engineer for LM at the time) who saw it at the end of the runway and told me to slow down so we'd miss the light. Then he pointed at the runway and said "Watch this shit." The thing went from standing still to less than 50 yards from the fence (ie 70 yards from the street we were on) in about 8 seconds and then pulled UP. a damn-near (from our viewpoint) vertical take off. 

The area in North GA, where my company's design center is located, is very remote and in the middle of a very long,  w i d e  valley. More than once we'd be walking through the complex and have squads of fighter planes or helicopters come through the canyon, low. They even 'boomed us twice.

And I frankly don't know what is so depressing - that these things are for sale to any Tom Dick or Wahhabi lunatic , or that BAE think that this kind of toss is going to impress anyone beyond a thirteen year old boy.

No, wait. It is more depressing, because this video was made, at great expense, non of which was spent on production values, obviously, by a major arms company to sell state of the art aircraft to a market that they themselves believe to be so gullible that they produce this 7 minutes of complete guff.
