I can't hear this and not think of The Untamed World theme song from the late 60s and early 70's. Clearly a direct rip off. Someone's going to court... lol!
The theme music is such a weird recording, it sounds like it was recorded underwater. The link is an authentic representation, it truly sounded that crappy.

Yep, formulaic like     la la la - now the volume turns up and then we start clapping and possibly stomping on the sidekick, etc.... 

Alternative music that is alternative like all the rest of the alternative stuff.  ha ha 

 But, if I weren't paying attention I'd have to admit to still tapping my toes.  Music does that for me.
