You told me this, you told me that
You try to tell me, tell me where it's at
You said you loved me, I can see through that
Lies, lies, lies

You left me hangin', hangin' from a limb
You said you loved me, then you left with him
Lord, you did it to me, I see it in your eyes
Lies, lies, lies

Tell me baby, why you take my time
You get a thrill off playing with my mind
Lord, you did it to me, I see it in your eyes
Lies, lies, lies

I'm still seeing release dates, using Android app and at RP.com

Must be LIES lol

Who is JJ Cale underated by ? Certainly not people with good taste. Perhaps you are refering to Comercial radio ?
JJ Cale will always be one of the great talents in my book. He did an album with Eric Clapton about 8 years ago. Well worth a listen.        The Road to Escondido by J.J. Cale and Eric Clapton (2006)

prefer  Eno/Cale's  Wrong Way Up. just got tired of Clapton...

Further proof that less is more.  Tasteful restraint 101.

Thank you JJ.
OK, I too got sick of looking at this Lying Loser's face, so I reposted without the 70 Thumbs-up votes, thus dropping him down to the bottom of the comments, where he belongs.   ; )

TDS is a terrible plague and they can't help it, everything in the state and nothing against it. . . until it's coming for them. Note they never have an issue with the multiple lies and plagiarisms of the current office holder?
please leave the politics aside..breath and listen GOD BLESS RADIO PARADISE

Me too. I turned it up for that but I am not disappointed. Go JJ.

JJ's weakest and Eric's best (in recent years)
 JJ weaned him off the metronome and loosened him up...

Is it just me or does J.J. Cale perpetually sound like he's on his last breath?
JJ is so smooth.... i'm trying not to slip off these comments.
This song is just so effortlessly good.
@Faithful_Fool
Right on with the gif... +1

Still a sore loser? Time to grow up snowflake. Radio Paradise is about the music. Take your winey ass comments somewhere else and don't ruin what Bill and Rebecca have created for ALL on us!!!

HILARIOUS!
That is an awesome parody of Trump's moronic base!
(Misspelling "whiny" was a nice touch.)
Who knew Colbert was posting on RP?

Thnk you most amazing JJ Cale.
This JJ Cale track I've rated at 9, and that ain't no lie.  JJ Cale is, or was, :-( , an awesome musician and such a cool, laid back sound.  Glad JJ and EC got together.  RIP to JJ...it's been almost 5 years....

The quintessential JJ album....RIP

Nick Spitzer with the American Routes radio show just did a great interview with JJ Cale, worth a listen.

Thank you Businessgypsy, I am gonna look this up (posted Mar 18, 2010), and special thanks to RP for keeping JJ's flame burning
RIP JJ.  Thanks for the excellent ride.    {#Guitarist}
RIP JJ.  {#Notworthy}
Love this song and love this whole album.  Nice tribute to this underrated artist.
Owned this one back in the day, but it didn't sound like this.........good signal and good speakers tonight.
Johnnie Lang's "Lie to me" would be a gret follow-on song... All relationships being based on trust; how many lies do we allow before trust dies-?  Trust is two-way and earned...  I uess it depends on the subject of the lie
Bluesy sequence of tracks this afternoon on 7/19/12, cheers y'all! {#Cheers}
One of my first LP's, still love this track.

Singer sounds like he's lying in bed.  It's almost obscene how slippery his voice is.

{#Clap} Now those adjectives sum J.J.Cale up about perfectly. "Obscene" and "slippery". Yup. But, in a good way...{#Cool}
GREAT JJ, brother of John - dunno this album!

Oh sh#t!   Another great album I had on vinyl that I'll have yet to replace!  Damn you RP!
One of the early bands I was in made the mistake of trying to play this tune.  It is absolutely impossible to get it to swing the way JJ does.

Happy 70th, JJ. You're one of the best.

i agree. play some John Cale. something off of Fragments of a Rainy Season would be nice.
Paris 1919, whatever!

Pablo Picasso........................
Thank you RP. This takes me way back :-)  JJ Cale had such an effect on this once young man - stills sounds awesome - keep rocking JJ

Not as good as JJ's Naturally album, but still great.
It feels like downtown Grand Rapids, MI in the mid 70's...with the fake leopard skin landau roofs of the Buick deuce and a quarter with the corner feelers, so as not to rub the large white walls...let's not forget the Aquarius pillows in the back windows, just plain pimpin'!!
J.J. Cale rules!
Now THIS is COOL!
Classic! Pure Cale.
Holy Steely Dan!
Sic 'em boy!
Sounds almost as good as Dire Straits Southbound Again. Keep on rocking JJ! :)
My dad bought be J J Cale CD for my birthday a few years ago. This is one of my favourite tracks. Thanks Dad!
i like cale\'s laid back style, he\'s underappreciated as far as I\'m concerned.
I was actually surprised to hear any JJ Cale here on RP. Bill, I figured the lyrics were probably just too simplistic for your taste. I really enjoy JJ's music. He's got a great bluesy sound with a guitar that just can't miss. :) Then I look at your catalogue and you have lots of his songs! Silly me
One of the better cuts from the Master. Bring it on!
