Life for some may have a been a Johnny Mathis song or a JohnPaulGeorgeRingo jingo, but that seemed like a load of horse _ _ _ _ to others. If you don't "get" the music I'd say you fall under the former category and not so much the latter.

A solid '1'. This tune always struck me as the opposite of its title - quite vapid and tedious.

In April 2013, I visited the studio in Berlin where Iggy and Bowie crafted this great song (and album). If you are ever in Berlin you should check out Hansa By The Wall studio. Lotta history there - Bowie, Iggy, U2, Depeche Mode. All made classic albums there. Very cool studio. You can see some of Hansa By The Wall in U2's "One" video. Also took a tour to 155 Hauptstrasse - the apt where Bowie and Iggy lived while in Berlin.

I could never really afford to buy CDs or records until around the time the movie Trainspotting came out. I was driving a beat up old car with a giant dent in the side, and I could barely make the payments. What little spending money I had went to whatever social life I was able to scrape together in Wrigleyville, Chicago (great times). So, I bought the Trainspotting CD, mainly on the strength of this song - they had just started playing this in heavy rotation on XRT. It was a life-changing CD for me, because Brian Eno's Deep Blue Day is also on that CD...
