I am milk
I am red-topped ketchup
And I am cool
Cool as the deep blue ocean

I am lost
So I am cruel
But I'd be love and sweetness
If I had you

I'm waiting, I'm waiting for you
I'm waiting, I'm waiting for you

I am weak
But I am strong
I can use my tears to
Bring you home

I'm waiting, I'm waiting for you
I'm waiting, I'm waiting for you
I'm waiting, I'm waiting for you

I am milk
I am red-topped ketchup
And I am cool
Cool as the deep blue ocean

I'm waiting, I'm waiting for you
I'm waiting, I'm waiting for you
I'm waiting, I'm waiting for you
I'm aching, I'm aching for you
I'm waiting for you

Benjamin Franklin perfecting this idea an d creating an intrument??
A Franz Mesmer from Germany using it in hypnosis and being the source for "mesmerizing"?

Pale redhead...
I saw Garbage with Alanis Morissette, in  concert.  That year, Alanis beat out Shirley for the Grammy.
great song. mark in Calgary.
My candidate from the RP playlist of a James Bond movie intro track.

What colour is the bottom of the ketchup?

A deeper, brownish red, especially if it's beyond its sell-by date.

Nice to hear this again! Love it

Wow. I had no idea of this thing's existence!
Thanks for that link!

As for Garbage: I'm only just discovering them, but I definitely like what I'm hearing here!
I played the disc yesterday, still as good as on release. If anything it has grown on me over the years, a bit like moss.
Great album in its day.  I still like it now.
Amen, sister. I'm waiting for him, too. :(
No you're not.
No idea what Shirley is talking about ("I am milk").. But definitely one of their best.

I don't think RP should show Oreos to children

These comments are funny.....still like the song.
She has some trouble with her shift out of falsetto.  Not good.

An image i did about a year-and-a-half ago for a web forum... i´ve only used simple materials and quick shaders...

"I am weak, but I am strong... I can use my tears to bring you home".

My therapist is going to have a field day when I bring this passive-aggressive, dominating/control issues line up next week...

Timeless, love it!

Ahhh..Shirley Manson has such a suductive voice...First time I heard Garbge was over 10 years ago. Fell in love then and still. Great stuff never got the recognition they deserved.
Not milk.. ''-I'm waiting, I'm waitng for you''. :P:P
ahhhhhhhhh

Oh my lovely Garbage sister Shirley..when garbage is great :heartkiss:
One of the better bands coming out of the 90:s. No need for me harp on the memorable smoothness of their production, meloman managed to show that for us all. =)
happy v-day shirley!
well buddy, your comment is over a year old, and this album is almost a dozen years old, and people do remember it so far. perhaps ten years from your comment, we'll all have forgotten shirley and the boys, but i doubt it! meloman wrote:
Oh come on! Is this REALLY a song anyone will remember in 10 years? Honestly, a fine example of what's wrong with so much insipid contemporary music. Boring!

Yep REALLY...this album is at least 10 years old and I still love the whole thing.

This song gives me goosebumps. I saw Garbage back in 1999 at the Pantages in Hollywood, and at the time lead singer Shirley Manson mentioned this was her favorite song of theirs. I couldn't agree more. It somehow transcends everything else they've done, a moody, sultry-smooth enigma that resonates in a haunting way. It embraces everything that is great about the band -- namely, their production and Manson's voice, with nary a guitar to be heard. And it still sounds as fresh and mysterious as when it first came out.
Absolutely. Hot, yet so chilling. Like the best kiss in the world. :whipit:

A tune that seems to have stuck in my head and now seems overplayed. ok tho

Passsion8..................
One of my favorites off this album.
Beeyooooooootiful song. Me likey.
oh, shirley :)
I never heard a song from Garbage that I didn't like. What an excellent compilation of musicians! I saw them with Alanis Morisette outside of Chicago and was floored by this show!
:sunny There isn't a bad song on the whole album. This is one of the best.

Nice song, but what a stupid name for a band.
I prefer the remix by Tricky. The version that was released as a single.
Got milk? hmmm. Sorry. Bad joke. :tapedshut.gif:
I wish I could sing like Shirley Manson. But alas, I sound like a dying cat.

First time that I have heard the original version of this song. I love the Massive Attack version. This one soothes the soul as well. :roflol:
