Waiting for the rain
For the skies lamenting
All around silence
Has its roots sunk deep

My longing lingers
My tresses twist
But in my isolation
All truth is empty

Waiting by the wayside
Of an endless reverie
Where all the things I run from
Are sure enough to find me

Would that love were something
Than a false slavery
To a god I don't know
And to all the things that tempt me

Then in the light of reason
Where truth is empty
The alchemy of sin
Would be revealed

Waiting by the wayside
Of an endless reverie
Where all the things I run from
Are sure enough to find me

Be sure to let me know when your music comes out so, good or bad, I can post the same kind of ignorant comment about your music.

I'd wager, that if this Central Banking Digital Currency (CBDC) gets the green light, you won't be feeling quite as "free" anymore.

That or, just straight up jealousy! Envies their talent because they're female? With ignorance that deep, one never knows.

Were you very ignored as a child? You seem to rather like seeking attention.
Seen her live with Niyaz twice.  Amazing shows and great musicians and presence.  If this version wasn't your cup of tea this is a great re-mix.  Hope this is allowed on the site.https://www.google.com/search?...

I've heard that pearl of wisdom before. Anyone who thinks it's true didn't get out much.
A review I read a few years ago: "She has a voice you can get lost in".
Absolutely.
Women. Life. Freedom
Now I 'really' like this. I'm happy that's she's succesful and safe!

As Lazarus would say: "This song is sooo good for the ears!"
I can hear Robert Plant performing this.
Unusual beat in electronic music, or am i wrong?
If you like this, check out her band Niyaz. I saw their multi-media show a couple of years ago - quite impressive! She is a beautiful spirit.

Waiting for it to change gears but suspecting it doesn't but on the plus side it's reminded me how long since I listened to Tori Amos' Iieee.

It's very hard to avoid flaming after such an ignorant comment. Enya is a Celt, Azam Ali a Persian, and their works come from their different cultural and musical traditions. Other than being women singers, they've got f*ck-all to do with each other. The idea of Azam Ali ripping off Enya is just bonkers.

That you don't like either is fine - no shame on you. That you conflate them is shamefully ignorant.

Likeable music.  Exotic and hypnotic.  I have no idea what the lyrics say, but that's okay.  Great variety, RP!
The child safety guard that censors internet content won't let me listen to this sizzling track.

I don't see why - Azam Ali left Iran as a young girl, and now lives in the USA. See her Wikipedia page. I'd lay pretty heavy odds that the theocracy would loathe her, though the people probably bop like crazy to her music. This is a terrific album, not a duff track on it, both exotic and, in parts, erotic. Highly recommended.

As criticisms go, that's, well, "boring and predictable". The vast majority of music falls into the "predictable" category, from Mozart onwards. You want unpredictable, go for Stockhausen or The Prodigy. Boring, of course, is your own view and fair play to you, but as insults go, "predictable" is in the same category as "derivative" and just as meaningless.

Thanks for answering that much more sensibly and eloquently than I could have, Fred.  If you ever find yourself in central Ontario, I'll buy you a beer.

Ok, but "endless" is not necessarily a good thing for music like this...

{#No}  Pretty much Audio Valium...Suitable for snooze-jazz fm only!

And I resent that Viagra remark...remember Viagra is a upper, unlike this ditty!

Maybe she should sue Massive Attack, being the "Real thing"? And I always thought Coca Cola was the real thing. Or was it Pepsi?
Man, this world is too complex for a simple man like me.

There is a lot to explore in this music, even more to feel.
